It was quite far from the main manor, perched on top of a hill and far from any population. “It’s really far away from everyone,” I commented, staring at the beautiful black mansion in front of me. We arrived shortly, Isaac paused at the closed gate for a facial scan before the gate opened. As we drove in I couldn't help but stare at the house, scratch that, this wasn't a house but a mansion. The mansion screamed money, with the beautiful color designs. Now was not the time to admire the house, I would do that later after I've found Arthur. Isaac parked close to the door, and I opened it myself this time before he could. I walked fast into the house, the door was opened. I tried as much as I could to climb the stairs fast, and turned right, then heard a shattering sound, like a glass being dropped.

Gary shouted at me. I nodded in response as I walked out of the car myself. The mansion was a two-story building painted white. The top floor was all glass, while the ground floor was painted white. At the center of both feet was the name "Kings." "Where is this place?" I asked Gary.

She gathered up her things and got out. The old mansion had once been owned by a self-important family who'd built the place up on another hill, almost across from the barn that sat on their property. The family had long since left the town and for many years the house had fallen into disrepair. A few people had purchased it and put some work into it over the years, but none as much as Ingrid, Kasima and their friend off on a backpacking adventure. Right now it was just Ingrid and Kasima holding down the fort, turning the former mansion into a bed-and-breakfast.
