It looked lethal even though it had no colour. "Let's look around to see what we can find," Marcus said, and we began to carefully search through the stuff. Soon I found a paper that looked like a chemical formula plan. It had our names on it. Mathlaw and Renfield silver immune neutralizer. These people were in over their heads. They believed what Marcus had told them about being immune to silver. We grabbed one of the corked test tubes containing the liquid, the chemical formula plan and went to check the room with no label. It was like a hospital ward. There were beds in two rows. It was obvious what that place was built for.

I jumped a little and turned to see Alveric with his hand out at me, offering me the bottle of water. “Thank you.” I said with a smile as I took the bottle from him. Right as he turned around, I flipped the bottle over and squeezed it. This was just a little test to make sure he did not inject anything into the water through the cap. Luckily, I did not see any signs of a leak, so I opened the bottle of water and took a sip.

‘He wants to see if you will drink the water despite knowing that it is spiked. ‘Could it be that the water is not poisoned at all?’ ‘I am not sure, Keith…. We should be prepared for both possibilities.’ A strong and pungent scent assaulted my nose when I pressed the rim of the bottle to my lips. My guess was right. The water was spiked with a generous amount of Monkshood. ‘Are you sure you want to do this?’ Jake’s anxious voice sounded as I was going to take a gulp. ‘What if it really kills you?’

"You learn fast omega." I grimace as I try to stand up and I realize I'm heaving. My lungs are burning and I am out of breath but apart from that I'm okay. I would have collapsed had it been a month ago. Safira throws a water bottle to me and I don't bother smelling it for poison or anything like that. I take the cap off the bottle and chug the contents down. The water is strangely sweet and I wonder if she's put something in it. Catweed or something.

“ That’s strange “ I said slowly walking forward. Just then I heard a sound. Either a gentle clink of metal or a bottle cap, or maybe the both because I wasn’t so sure of what I heard. all I know was that something shifted. My body moved before the thought was concluded. I slid silently into the room, keeping silent, my breath as slow and steady as possible. Someone was at Kael’s locker. I wasn’t sure of what he was doing just yet. The figure moved, pulling out Kael’s green water bottle and unscrewing the cap. I saw a small paper in their hand, and it looked very much like poison. They poured it into the drink. I gasped but my hands were fast to reach my mouth.

I don’t know what is going through her mind, but I feel her mood has changed too drastically to be ignored. One other thing that bothers me is how she drinks from the water bottle as if she’s in her backyard. I know the bottle has been cocked all along, but she should have inspected the bottle. She is a Don, and that is the first thing to look at-her safety. She just opened the bottle and gulped down everything without a care for anything in the world. Unless…

It was unbelievable that they couldn’t smell it like I could. “It’s laced,” I said, turning to George. “There’s something unnatural in it. It reeks.” George grabbed the canteen and took a whiff of it himself, his brows pinching together. “I don’t smell anything—” before he could finish his thought, his eyes widened as he peeked into the canteen. The once clear water turned murky, then became black, and finally returned to its usual clearness. It happened so fast that George would have missed it if he blinked.

It was filled with her favorite concoction of Koolaid: Sharkleberry Fin and Cherry. The water bottle tipped and splashed over Rebecca and the person sitting next to her, Ashley. They both screamed while Krista let out a hearty laugh. As the entire class started to laugh, I bit my lip to try and not join them. “Krista St. James! Don’t go throwing things at fellow students!” Mrs. Cross looked devastated. Krista continued to laugh. “Sorry, my hand slipped. I was trying to give it to Maverick. He asked for a drink. You know how I add weird combinations together. He just wanted to know how the mix tasted today.”
