I don’t know what is going through her mind, but I feel her mood has changed too drastically to be ignored. One other thing that bothers me is how she drinks from the water bottle as if she’s in her backyard. I know the bottle has been cocked all along, but she should have inspected the bottle. It reeks.” George grabbed the canteen and took a whiff of it himself, his brows pinching together. “I don’t smell anything—” before he could finish his thought, his eyes widened as he peeked into the canteen. The once clear water turned murky, then became black, and finally returned to its usual clearness. It happened so fast that George would have missed it if he blinked.
