“My friend is such a scared kitten, but we can definitely go on without him.” Rowan grabbed the packet of cigarettes on the table, opened it, and retrieved one stick. He lit it and took a long drag, then puffed the smoke into Ben’s face. “I told you that you would join my son in the afterlife if you played with me, old man,” he said lazily. “So you have ten minutes to come up with something, or I will truly end your pathetic life.” Elder Ben sighed, frustrated to the core. He had hoped Darkmoor would agree once he saw that an Alpha was an ally and that they could use his poison on Zevara, but he had been utterly disappointed.

The Beta shoved him off with a grumble. “I’m old enough to be your father, and no, I’m not gay. I’m your father’s best friend and work for the Alpha. And I’ve got two daughters. Trivia, ignore this one. He’s always trying to charm into everyone’s pants,” he nodded towards a female pack warrior who approached us. I watched with disgust as she shamelessly eye-fucked Erebus, who blew her a joking kiss, before Derek gestured that I move closer to her. “The Warriors Quarters. The last room. It’s hers. Escort her please.”

“It is all right Alpha Wyatt. Ben is the one that needs to talk to you. He has said that it is important.” I quietly follow Wyatt as he heads into the living room. A smile instantly appears on my face when my eyes see Ben sitting on the couch in a bathrobe. I quickly wave and to him. “Hi, Ben. Congrats on finding your mate.” My eyes are drawn to Ben’s mark on his neck. It is so different than anything that I’ve ever seen before. Often times, the marks have two wolves, which his does, but in addition to the two wolves, it has a heart with two letters, F and B. It is so beautiful.

Ben immediately replied, taking a small step back from the door and looking at me. I already reached near him. Looking up I replied, “You go and stand next to Galaxy. Don’t waste time talking.” Ben didn’t reply anymore nodding his head obediently he stood next to Galaxy who was looking confused too. Galaxy and Ben both didn’t remember anything about the alternative future that they faced just a few minutes ago. That was good for them though.

It takes me a moment to realize he's totally shirtless, his lightly tanned skin beaded with perspiration and his golden blonde hair held back messily in a headband. "Hey Ash!" Ben says with a cheeky grin as he walks into the room. He's shirtless like Alastaire, his trademark skulls and bones bandana tied around his head. "Do you like marshmallows?" Errr... what?

"Alpha Luciano!" Beta Chris called, as he entered into the Alpha's office. "Not now Beta Chris, I'm busy" Alpha Luciano replied, his eyes still fixed on his laptop. "You have to see this, now!" He emphasized the word, and Alpha Luciano looked at him. "What is it?" He asked, and they both hurriedly left the house. "Look!" Beta Chris said, pointing at the wonder in the sky. It was an Eclipsed Union.

Mara said, in a voice that was an unmistakable impression of mine from approximately twenty minutes ago, "you will all be removed." Lena made a sound. "That is a direct threat," I said, "and I will be speaking to—" "The goddess didn't let it work the first time," Bette said, from the corner, with the bright certainty of someone who had been building to this.
