Everyone stood around the outside of the circle holding their candles. Magenta stepped into the center of the circle. “Members of the Moon Shadow Pack, we are gathered tonight before the Moon Goddess, Selene, to humbly ask that Princess Brenna Sutton join the ranks of Luna among us.” Then she turned toward the moon and raised her arms. “Oh, Moon Goddess, I present to you Princess Brenna Sutton as a Potential Luna.” Magenta took the candle from me and stepped away. I took my place in the center of the stones, looked up at the moon, and lifted my hands. “Oh great Moon Goddess, I, Princess Brenna Sutton, humbly present myself to become your next Luna, if you so choose.”

“You also need to start looking at him without turning into a tomato.” Mer peeked at me between her fingers, her face still red. “Impossible.” I laughed, shaking my head. “You’ll survive, don’t worry.” Before Mer could respond, Zara suddenly cleared her throat, making sure all eyes were on her. I turned to look at her, and—surprise, surprise—she was smiling sweetly again, as if she hadn’t been glaring daggers at Kai just a few minutes ago. “The important women of the pack are having a meeting later today to plan the upcoming Moon Festival,” she announced, her voice all sugar and grace. Then, without missing a beat, she turned her gaze to Mer, staring at her pointedly.

James said. “Next 3 days, you have a meeting in the Moon hall,” James added. “Isn't the next three days the full moon?” Kael asked, his eyes fully open. “Yes, is something the matter?” James asked. Kael fell into deep thought, not responding to his question. “If it is about you not finding your Luna. Most of the pack knows not to bother you about it,” James said. It's not that I have found her,” Kael said. “But, there is a problem,” Kael said, sighing.

All the doubts fade away. I start to walk to the firepit and see Amelia sitting with Paul in the front. She gives me a reassuring smile and blows me a kiss. I catch it and bring it to my heart before stopping at the spot the councilman directs me to stand. I bring my eyes to meet Malachi's and we both grin slightly. "Good evening, Aberdeen pack. Tonight, we gather for this moment to bring a new member into the pack. Let's all look to the moon and pray for the Moon Goddess to accept our offering." The councilman says, looking up to the moon, as do all the others.

“As much as I want to talk to you forever, I’m going to head out to meet her. I’ll keep you updated, though.” She frowns and nods. “I hope you find the answers you’re looking for and can return soon.” “I will. When has Alejandro set the conference for?” I ask. I do want to be back for it. “Soon, at the next Blood Moon, which is the biggest gathering of the year. He will do a live conference at the ball. This year, the Night Walker Pack is hosting it.” I nod, “That makes sense. A larger public audience means more people can ask questions. Although shame for those who find their mates, they’ll be hit with a lot of questions.” I say.

Far and far away from the pack. I didn't get to see Adrian all the time, with his busy schedule. I was back in my room when I was called to his office to have a meeting with him and Hughson, the elder. I knew it was for the upcoming full moon meeting. Ava told me about it and I thought they would have had this meeting already, since it was only three days away now. I walked in and sat in my chair beside Adrian. "Morana, my dear Luna, how are you, child?" Hughson asked me.

Soree sat in her corner of the office with a bunch of books she either pulled off the shelf in the library or took from Elara’s. Seith and I finally got the northern alphas to agree on a time for a conference call. Now we were just waiting for the minutes to tick by until we launched the call. “Okay, so we’re going to frame this as a New Moon, New Luna Dinner. I’m not going to make it any bigger than that. Small, intimate, just thirty-six of us.”

The party was incredible. A lot of music, food, drinks and lively talks. Everyone was really excited to meet new people and with the idea of forming a bigger pack. They lighted up an enormous bonfire in the middle of the improvised dance floor, so everyone could dance around it and get warm. The sky was very cloudy, and at some time during the night, the wind started to blow in a different direction. Hidden behind the dark and heavy clouds, it was possible to see the full moon, imposing her majestic and breathtaking beauty.

Their fragrant essence was blending with the cold night breeze and it was a breath of relief even just for a bit.
