"Partly. But mostly, it’s about you." My stomach tightened. "Shit. I knew it, I just didn't want to accept it." She smiled, then took a slow sip of her tea before setting the cup down carefully. "Tell me, Kayla… have you ever heard of the Valkyries?" I blinked at the sudden shift. "...The warrior women from legends?" Lady Elizabeth leaned forward slightly. "They were not just legends. Once, they were rulers. Protectors. Gods in their own right. They wielded power that few could match, leading armies, shaping kingdoms, and striking fear into those who dared to oppose them."

Wolfsbane, designed to incapacitate wolves and Lycans. My heart jumps as he slams the needle right into my neck. The effect of the potion is immediate. My muscles all spasm before freezing, and slowly I can feel myself starting to slip away. But as I fall to the floor with the men standing around me, I realize that they are not Humans. And they know that neither am I. * * * Valeria’s POV “Where’s daddy?” Edith asks as I push him and Emmett into the back of the bullet proof van. “Why are we leaving him?”

He was successful in clearing the sky but they all heard angry cry of Serenity and dark clouds gathered again. Valerina looked down where hybrids has rounded the woman who is dark blue like a venom, her long hair were swaying with the angry wind. She was looking like a demon. Sharp fangs are out which can tear anyone in half. Her growls were literally shaking the ground. Valerina gasped when she threw fire at Lucifer who tried to grab her. She wonder if Augustus can also threw fire from his mouth like his mother. "She won't stop until she finds Carlos"

“This is an important mission, we need to be focused on the mission. You can’t let your hatred for her to stop you from thinking straight and doing the right thing. Dad said that Maverick had met the last healer tonight, only tonight. And we both know that Valerie has been in this town for months, and she has already resumed work with Maverick. If she was the one, don’t you think dad would have known already? She was at Maverick's party, remember? Besides, she has been around the pack for a while now, don’t you think dad would have found out that she is the girl he has been searching for?” I asked her in a sarcastic tone, trying to get her to remove that thought from her head. Now it’s my tu

We heard her sniffle. Kait launched into a rather short story about how she had been captured like the rest of us, and when she was separated from me, a few of the members were torturing her up until Freya had intervened; all because they wanted information on the Valkyrie, or they wanted to know who one was, to the point where they had upped the ante.

*Let's run away* Thalira echoed. That was my plan all along. That was what I had always hoped for. But now that I have gotten my wolf. And I am far deep into the woods. I realized it wasn't as easy as I had thought. Trying to escape means daring the Pack wolves. I wouldn't win. Because now, this wasn't the wolfless Omega everyone knew. This was Valkyrie, the white witch with a wolf. There would be no pity this time. This time, they would stand to watch me break for real. They might kill my wolf before I can tell her all the stories I had wanted to tell her.

The slippery, conniving, green snake who had lied to Cordy that I cheated on him with his beta. All I wanted to do at that point was get off the bed and pull that annoyingly gorgeous hair out from her hair sockets and then watch as they fall to the floor strand by strand until she becomes bald like alpha Lockwood. But I didn’t do that…yet. “I have no need to talk to a figment of my imagination. You should go back to the land of the living and find the people who need you there” A confused look graced her face before changing up to pure amusement. “Hold on, Valerie; don’t tell me that you think you’re already dead and in some kind of alternate universe?”

"What else did you get?" "I haven't heard much from their conversation," Ares said which almost made Damien sigh heavily. But what Ares said next made Damien's face harden. "However, they seem to be waiting for your arrival, my lord." "They're waiting for me?" "Right. They said something about the Valkyrie too." "Valkyrie?" now it was Reinhard who spoke. "Who is that?" "Not who, but what," Damien replied. "Valkyrie is an emergency order issued by the kingdom in case someone is proven treasonous."

Once they were out of sight, I downed the mead and breathed a sigh of relief. I joined the others by the fire; they were talking about their plans for the night. I was half listening as my mind drifted and started thinking about my mom and the past. I stared into the flames as I drank my mead, my memories taking shape as the fire acted them out. No one but Thana and the Gods knew about my past, it was just as much hers as well as mine. They hid our history from stories and myths. Thana and I were the only born Valkyrie in existence, mostly because Valkyries did not procreate. Our mother was Brynhild she was one of the most famous Valkyries in history, and one of the most shamed.

I grabbed the first one by the throat and squeezed his neck tightly. He kicked and struggled to free himself but my hand was firmly wrapped around his neck. I drove my hand through his chest and pulled out his heart. The crowd gasped, the gory scene shaking them to the core. I dropped his body, hoping he was dead but he rose up yet again. “You focus your attacks on their physical form. Try connecting with their spiritual form and destroying it completely.” Valkyrie stated. “If it was that easy, I would have done it!” I exclaimed.
