This time, I was smarter. If vampires were too dangerous, I would just switch species. I scrolled through the "Werewolf Bodyguards" category and finally selected a young werewolf with reviews praising him as "loyal, simple-minded, and a strong fighter." Just as I was about to place the order, a message from customer service popped up. "Dear valued customer, our system detects you are already bonded to a vampire mate. We do not recommend purchasing a second supernatural being. Vampires are very possessive, you know. ??"

Who'd have guessed? But for humans who've stepped out of line and found ourselves dumped here as "criminal wards," choices are a bit more...limited. There's the vampire's version of a pet...slaves, basically. They are walking, talking blood sacks for them to boss around, torture, and play sick games of cat and mouse with. Because, you know, pretending to track down and corner us like we're part of some grotesque wildlife show is their idea of a good time. They actually 'hunt' us within controlled environments for kicks.

He would tell her, but only when the time was right. "Hmm… Let me put it like this, it's pretty much the same grouping as humans. You get both good and evil, and sometimes those who are caught in between. You see, being a vampire doesn't turn you into a monster. It only enhances what's already there. If a murderer got turned, they'd most likely be beyond evil and if it were someone good, say part of a dog rescue team or something, their pure spirit and good energy would be turned up." He explained.

I passed the blood in her mouth and waited for her to wake. I ended up sleeping with her in my arms. In the morning I watched her sleeping form. I am reminded of the day we first met. She starts moving in my arms. I look at her as she opened her eyes. They were of the same brown colour as before. I am glad she remained the same Lara I have got used to only that she is now a vampire and she ages slowly compared to before. "Hey did you do it?" She asks as she looked into my eyes. Do what... What does she mean?

“Wha' wrog?” “They found another body,” She said, “Under the bridge. Same place as the last one. They said the body had all its blood drained out.” “Just like the last ones.” I shivered. She turned to me, eyebrows raised. “Apparently there are no obvious wounds. Do you still think they’re animal attacks?” “Of course.” I rolled my eyes. “What else would they be? Vampires?” “You think I’m crazy, but that’s the only explanation that makes sense.”

“I am surprised you haven't seen one, that is the creature most vampires use as their familiar.” Mari summoned a familiar with a single thought, something that was easy for the undead creatures to do, and as if by fate her companion was a small bat. I smiled slightly, the creature was awe worthy, its wings perfectly shaped and sharp. I concentrated as hard as I could on how it looked, how it moved as it sat upon Mari’s shoulder, its eyes bright and vibrant. I can do this, I told myself sternly, demanding that my mind was clear of all the negativity I felt; concentrating on that one creature, on everything it did.

From those that brought you Flashbacks, comes this on edge murder mystery with a stint of romance, yet a handful of suspense. Vamp doesn't fail to send the most realistic message to the readers, shedding some light on some of the most endangering truths about sex, money and drugs. Some feed on animal blood and some feed on human blood that was donated.” She told him with an offended pout. “But would you date one?” he asked her. “Absolutely, that is, if he loves me.” She told him with an excited grin, “Vampire are very affectionate and loyal to their partners and who wouldn’t want a guy who loves you unconditionally.” She told him.
