Vanessa Blade Novels & Stories

Without the pressure on her throat, this gave Vanessa time to take out a small dagger she had strapped to her leg, bringing it up and into Rex's shoulder in one fluid movement, she aimed for his heart, but Rex moved after she had fully committed to the stab and she missed her target. After the dagger sank into Rex's flesh, Vanessa kicked Iris in the side of the knee putting her balance out, allowing her to break free. She started sprinting over to Reeva knowing they were not going to win tonight. Iris saw what Vanessa had done to Rex, blind with rage, she pulled from Rex, flipped the knife in her hand to be clutching the blade, and sent it flying towards Vanessa’s back. Seeing the look that

The blade shattered midair, metal melting to ash before it could touch him. Silence fell. When the light faded, I was on my knees trembling, breath ragged. Draven was beside me in an instant, his hands gripping my shoulders. “Vanessa.” His voice was rough. “What did you do?” “I… I don’t know,” I whispered. “It just—happened.” He cupped my face, eyes burning brighter than ever. “You healed me again.” “No,” I said, dazed. “I protected you.” His jaw tightened, emotion flickering across his face. “Then the bond is complete.”

Vanessa looked dazed, blood running down her forehead as she struggled weakly. I reached for her hand. “Take it!” For one split second, our eyes met and I realized my mistake immediately. There was no gratitude in her eyes. Her fingers suddenly tightened around my wrist violently, then she lunged upward, a hidden blade flashed in her other hand. She was still trying to kill me. “Rue!” Cole roared. Before the blade could reach me… BOOM! The explosion shattered the entire building. The floor beneath us shook violently. The blast wave slammed into my body hard enough to throw me backward.

She knew what she had to do. Conjuring up any and all strength that she had left anywhere in her body she hurled herself onto Vanessa. Vanessa's eyes widened in shock, but she was too slow to stop her and the blade entering her chest, drawing a horrific scream from her that quickly turned into a gurgle as she began to choke on her own blood. Vanessa grabbed at her, digging her claws into Izzie's back in a last-ditch attempt to take her down with her, but her strength was already waning. Izzie felt the hot trickles begin to run down her back from where Vanessa drove her nails in hard, but she didn't care. She was too broken and exhausted to move herself from on top of Vanessa, instead, she st

Her gaze dropped to the tactical knife strapped loosely against his leg. There. Vanessa’s fingers moved carefully, sliding the blade free inch by inch. The metallic sound was almost inaudible beneath the storm outside. The officer stirred slightly. Vanessa froze. But then he slumped again. A cold smile slowly touched her lips. “Idiot.” And then, she stabbed him. The blade drove forward violently. Straight into his stomach. The officer’s eyes snapped open in horror as a choked sound escaped his throat. His cigarette fell to the floor while blood spilled down his uniform.

Chapter 8: The Weight of Questions Even though vampires were supposed to be ancient—centuries-old predators who’d watched empires rise and fall—the four queens of BludHeaven were anomalies. Each one frozen at nineteen,They aged like humans until they hit eighteen. their bodies locked in the bloom of late adolescence while their minds carried the weight of lives far longer than their faces suggested. The school had been carved into four wings after the Integration Accords: North for Seraphina Locke’s tech-infused domain, East for Liora Kane’s shadowed artistic realm, South for Ravenna Slade’s raw kinetic territory, and West—Elara Voss’s domain—where the gothic cowgirl ruled with a drawl and a

The gash was too deep, the skin cleaved open just enough to ensure it wouldn’t knit back together anytime soon. “Consider that a reminder of where you stand, Cynthia,” Vanessa whispered, her voice dropping into a venomous purr as she wiped the edge of her blade on a silk cloth. Without another word, she turned on her heel and glided out of the room, heading down to the grand hall like the rest of the tributes.

Vanessa stepped into the circle, already in wolf form—a sleek black wolf with cruel green eyes. She didn't wait for permission. She attacked immediately, going straight for my throat. I barely shifted in time, Selene taking control with a snarl. This fight was different. Vanessa wasn't trying to test me. She was trying to kill me. Her fangs sank into my shoulder, and pain exploded through me. Blood poured from the wound, more than enough for first blood. But she didn't stop. Selene roared, and power exploded from us. Silver light burst from my fur, blinding everyone in the training grounds.

Only the sudden weight of steel sliding through flesh and bone, exactly where the mark burned brightest. The Luna mark broke as the blade pierced it. It was not a sound anyone could hear, but something you felt through the bond—like ice cracking beneath unbearable pressure. Kaelor’s pain tore through me so violently I almost missed my own. His shout spread across the battlefield, raw and broken, and every wolf collapsed where they stood. The light around my body shattered. The power drained from me, sinking into the earth, into the sky, into nothing. I looked down. The blade had gone straight through the mark.

She was out cold, intoxicated beyond reason. I held the knife in my hand, savoring its weight. I smiled. “You messed with the wrong person, Jade. If I could kill Dante, I would have done it a long time ago, but he’s untouchable for now.” I ran the knife lightly over her stomach, a wicked smile spreading across my face. “Nobody messes with Vanessa.”
