THE DOOR

THE DOOR

From the shadows of the Spire's arched doorway, Varkas emerged. The Elder walked onto the balcony, his pristine white mantle trailing behind him, flanked by a dozen Refined Enforcers in their iridescent suits. Varkas carried a cushion of woven hard-light silk. Resting on the cushion was the Crown of the Iron Barrens—a delicate, breathtaking circlet forged from pure kinetic silver and inlaid with glowing pink hard-light crystals. Varkas stopped beside Jack. He looked out over the sea of kneeling, pacified men, his steel eyes gleaming with absolute, total victory.

The Billionaire’s Secret Little Heir

The Billionaire’s Secret Little Heir

THE ALPHA'S BILLIONAIRE ROGUE: HER TRIPLE REGRET

THE ALPHA'S BILLIONAIRE ROGUE: HER TRIPLE REGRET

His face was a shifting mosaic of features, but his eyes remained constant: a deep, hollow black. "Leo Vane," the man spoke. His voice was a "Composite," a thousand voices speaking in a disjointed unison. "I am the Lead-Editor of the Redacted. My name is no longer in the active database. You may call me Vark-Zero." "Vark?" Kaelen growled, his silver-metal skin flaring instinctively. "I knew a Vark in the Gutter. He was a piece of scum who tried to kill us."

0f course, he did. I give Julien a weakened smile and we exchange a few sentences of small talk before I thank him for driving ways here. Waving goodbye from the window as he slips into his car again, I pretend not to rush to the unknown contents that hide inside the white-encased box. There are cursive letters in black, engraved into the cardboard material, reading Matériau Féminin. Gnawing on the skin of my lip, all I do is shake mny head at a parallel memory that comes into mind when we spent time together in this very store, replacing the various lingerie of mine that he has ripped.

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

THE WRONG VOW, MY PERFECT ALPHA

He faltered, then held out a folded cloth bundle. Varik took it, opened it, and his expression hardened. Inside was a small glass vial no bigger than my thumb, filled with a dark residue I didn’t recognize but instantly disliked. Maren went still. “Wolfsbane.” The word dropped into the center of the room like a blade. My skin prickled and so did Kael’s entire expression. The summit guard nodded. “There was also parchment in his room. Torn from the same stock as the note.”

THE REJECTED LUNA

THE REJECTED LUNA

Several nearby warriors visibly stiffened. The reaction didn’t go unnoticed. Varek was famous. Not for diplomacy. Not for wisdom. For strength. He ruled Iron Fang Pack, one of the fiercest territories in the western mountains. And unlike most Alphas— He trusted only power. Nothing else. Varek stopped twenty feet from Aria. The clearing fell silent. No one moved. No one breathed. Then he laughed. The sound was sharp. Mocking. Disrespectful. “I’ve seen enough.” His voice carried effortlessly across the clearing.

They asked me to follow them and turned to leave without giving anymore details. I paused for a second to think about it, but my instincts betrayed me. I followed behind them and walked into larger room, six times my size of room. A large portrait of the Alpha and a man and a woman behind him hung up in the wall. It grabbed my attention the moment I walked in. Everything about the room looked sophisticated. Obsidian carvings, an artwork that added life to the room, the floor was marbled, but somehow I could see my reflection almost clearly. The furnitures in the room and the private balcony stashed with vintage wines.

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

GINI: The Wicked Saviour

Gareth nodded, “I that’s the case, then I am coming with you.” “What are you two even talking about?” Cassandra asked. “I am going back to the Arkenta— “We are going to Arkenta” Gareth interrupted but Vera nodded weakly as if finding it difficult to argue with him. “But Arkenta is a long way from here. Besides, are we not in this together?” “The prophesy would have been fulfilled before we get back there. But this will get us to Arkenta faster,” Vera grinned and removed a Black Amytal fluid from her small bag. “Collected it from one of those Cavaliers outside.”

Raven the lurker
I have gotten used to read female lead stories from her so this time when it is male lead it's quite a refreshing and interesting change up. The start is promising and very well written and it's not the typical type of a novel so give it a chance as this author never ceases from surprising you.

, I answered. (The pronoun y is a vowel and also a pronoun that replaces the place in a sentence). "Correcte. Applaudisez", she said with a smile. (Correct. Clap for her). I sat down and Vanny gave me a thumbs up. From then, our classmates became active in class, making it very lively. "Notre sujet prochain c'est 'le futur'. S'il vous plaît, le lisez avant la classe suivante. À plus tard mes amis", she said then left.

EJIMA

EJIMA

"Udele na agwuba. Mba, ha enweghi njiko obula (There is no relationship between a Vulture and a shaving blade)" Ejima lifted her head to the voice of the Dibia. The woman had not changed since the last four months they met. Her features were still small and gnostic. Tattered hair and clothing, with white cowering hanging here and there, matched the colours of the skulls on her staff but contrasted the dark-hooded eyes. The only significant thing that seemed to have changed in her appearance was the white ceremonial chalk lines that masked her face.
