Vein Collapsed While Drawing Blood Mga Nobela at Kwento

riots. Inside the clinic, the chaos was surgical. Dr. Aris was standing over a man whose skin had turned a terrifying shade of translucent grey—the "Collapse" that happened when the synthetic Thorne blood began to lose its magnetic cohesion without a fresh dose of the stabilizer. "He’s crashing, Avery!" Aris shouted, her voice barely audible over the sirens outside. "The synthetic marrow is rejecting the host. If we don't get the Sombra-Sequence into the nebulizers in the next ten minutes, his lungs are going to turn to liquid."

I couldn’t tell if it was from tears or something else. A thick needle pierced into the veins of my arm, already worn from countless pricks, and the blood flowed upward, being drained away. In the room next door, Beatrice’s abortion was underway. My blood was leaving me, drop by drop, the warm, bright red liquid filling bag after bag, being carried to the other side of the wall. Suddenly, a frantic voice rang out, causing a commotion. “Something’s wrong, the patient is hemorrhaging!” Beatrice’s surgery wasn’t going well. She was hemorrhaging, and since I was the only one with RH-negative blood, they kept drawing more and more from me.

Couldn't feel anything. "Blood pressure dropping," a voice said, suddenly urgent. "BP 80 over 40." The joy in the room evaporated instantly. "We're losing too much blood. Get me four units O-negative. Now!" Machines started beeping. Fast. Frantic. Wrong. "Calloway?" My hand in his was going numb. I couldn't feel his fingers anymore. Couldn't feel the wedding ring he'd placed there two months ago. "I can't—I can't feel—"

Whose figure was overlapping with Melody’s back? Fatigue came like a tide; in a daze, Christopher could no longer hold on. Before he could find the answer, he had already fallen into a deep sleep. — Time passed. Melody was nervous throughout the whole process, but she made no mistakes. She was so focused, she didn’t notice that her back was drenched with sweat. The part the wooden strip had penetrated happened to pass through the femoral artery. A tiny mistake could cause uncontrollable bleeding. The patient, who was already in a coma, might die.

Lynn stated. Gideon walked through the hospital doors and saw us talking with the doctor. When he stepped up to where we were he asked, “Well how bad is she?” Dr. Lynn spoke up and said, “She’s not at risk for dying and if you’re still willing to donate your blood, she will heal much quicker.” Gideon nodded and said, “To do this sterilely you will need a larger bore needle like a sixteen gauge. The person drawing the blood will need to know their anatomy well because you can’t palpate for a vein, like you would for a human.” Gideon told Dr. Lynn, as he rolled up his sleeves and they began to walk towards the exam room doors.

“Okay. Using a tourniquet, tie the patient's arm to three to four inches above the extraction site. The patient's vein is quite visible, so we'll remove the latex first." For a brief moment, my attention was drawn to them. Seriously, it appears to be their first time performing a blood extraction. Sir was just staring at me, keeping an eye on everything I did. Furthermore, my brain is a traitor in every way. I'm still thinking about what happened last night.

I told him with a grateful smile. He didn't answer me immediately. Instead, he rolled something at the string that transported the fluid to my veins. Then, he took out a ball of cotton wool, filled it with spirit a bit, and lifted my hand. He pressed the cotton wool against the vein that had the needle for the drip before he slowly pulled the needle out, adding pressure to the spot as he pulled out. When he successfully pull out the needle, he continued to apply more pressure until the blood was not leaking out from where the needle was pulled out. That was when he turned to me.

More veins stretched downward beneath his collar. "What is that?" I asked, rushing toward him. But the veins were spreading from the source of the injury. At the back of his neck, deep claw marks had turned a dark purplish blue. I could not even begin to understand what I was looking at.

His fingers tapped the swollen blue vein in the crook of my elbow twice. Then he pushed the needle in. A sharp, hot pinch sank deep into my flesh. I gasped, my head snapping back into the pillows, my teeth clenching so hard my jaw popped. Bennett picked up the first glass tube, pushed it into the plastic holder, and the vacuum seal gave a soft, wet hiss. Dark crimson blood rushed into the glass. It poured in thick, steady pulses, dark and heavy. My vision blurred. A wave of dizziness washed over me, and the white ceiling seemed to tilt as I watched my own blood fill the tube.

He didn’t panic, but his hands seemed to stop moving for a few seconds. “The prior childhood bracing caused an undocumented adhesion. The tissue is tearing against the bar, and we have a hidden arterial bleed in the retrosternal space. The chest cavity is filling with blood. I can’t see the field. Suction, now!” Spirit was already moving before he even finished the sentence. She cleared the field with the suction tip, keeping her hands as calm as she could despite the chaos erupting around them. “Field is cleared, Dr. Voss, but the bleeding is aggressive. You have about thirty seconds before she becomes unstable beyond our ability to control it.”
