Draco's POV: As I sat in the study, my eyes skimmed the words on the pages of the book, but my mind was far away, preoccupied with the recent events that had unfolded. Veronica's voice echoed in my ears, her words of frustration and hurt swirling through my thoughts. I closed the book, feeling a heavy weight settle in my chest. I stood by the window, the cool breeze brushing against my face as I watched Veronica's retreating figure disappear up the stairs.
