Veronica Book Novels & Stories

Veronica was a hunter of the dark; she fed on the sound of breathing. Veronica's voice was getting closer, her words dripping with malice as she taunted me. “You should have stayed in the light,” she sneered, the sound of her wet, hacking laugh sending shivers down my spine. 'You thought you were a queen, didn't you?' Veronica's tone was laced with venom. 'But you're just a rat in a fancy dress, and now the rat-catcher has come for you.'”

"Is this it?" Veronica nodded and opened the bag, taking out a brown-colored book. "I had to leave my husband, Sis. Because I didn't want his relationship with his family to fall apart because of me. My husband's mother kicked me out of his life. I understand I'm not worthy of him." Veronica handed the book to Kirana.

Tina said. "Hey, hey. It's alright. I'll help you." Veronica replied, her earlier question seemingly forgotten. Tina narrowed her eyes at her. Veronica rolled her eyes, "Come on. I'm not all bad. I'm actually a good teacher. I wanted to be one before I descended." There was an obvious lack of sincerity in her tone, but Veronica picked up the book as if she really did know what she was doing. "So you ended with Satan's fall."

Chapter Twenty-Six Mikaela: My eyes enlarged, my eyeballs almost rolling out of their sockets. How did she know my name? Oh, so the bossy vibe wasn't fake after all. “Oh, girl, where are my manners?” Her steps became quicker, her heels knocking against the hard concrete of the road. “I'm Veronica. Veronica Black.” She introduced, and at this point, she was only a few inches away from me, our eyes boring into each other's. “I hope you know what that means?”

If he is not your boyfriend does that mean I can have him, " Veronica raked her eyes all over Trenton eyeing him like he was a piece of meat she can't wait to have. " I am Veronica, " she purred in a sensual voice reaching her delicate well-manicured hand to him to shake. " Is a pleasure to meet you, " Trenton replied charmingly lifting the small hand to his lips for a peck while his eyes ate her up. Veronica was a stunning short blonde with curves and a rack that drew men's attention and leaving up to his name Trent have not been able to take his eyes off her chest. Evangel scoffed bitterly. Changed my ass.

Everyone moved. Vera’s next orders came fast. She had not saved them only for the sake of saving them. These people had been good in the book. Without them, the original Vera would not have delivered her babies at all. She would have died much sooner, alone and cornered, because this world had never been kind to weak people without protection. In the book, these villagers had given her comfort, food, and shelter when no one else cared. Vera now understood what was actually worth keeping.

She turned to me and asked, “‘Tis time to get rid of the tent. Would ye like to do the honors?” “I don’t know the spell,” I said humbly. “Just repeat after me,” she said patiently. “It’s okay to do this outside of Verso?” I asked. “We’ll see,” she said with a smile. I stood in front of her with my arms extended and repeated the words she whispered in my ear, “Ós rud é mé a thuilleadh gá seo anseo, ordaímse an puball a imíonn siad.” I could feel the power surge through my body and out my hands as the tent wavered, then shuddered, and then disappeared into thin air.

With her step back she began to growl lowly at me, she did not like that. "Veronica." She whispered. I felt some disappointment within me, a small part of me had truly thought she was Cassandra, but no. So who was this girl? Veronica? This was Veronica. Notorious killer and feared by many. I felt sickened, I felt the disgust seep into my expression. I was mated to a monster. "You're monster! You're demon!" I hissed out, completely appalled, why on earth was I of all people mated with her?

‘If she’s that evil, what makes you think you can kill her? “Let him fetch medical help,” Luthias urged. “I want to understand,” I gasped between bursts of pain. “Tell her,” Jason barked, “but be quick about it.” “Lord Pierre has ordered cook to put small amounts of vervain into her food.
