Alex asked, his voice tight with barely suppressed anger.
“I’ll start tracking his financial movements,” Mason said. “People like Ricardo leave trails—they always do. If we can pinpoint where his resources are going, we might be able to predict his next move.”
“Do it,” Alex said without hesitation.
As the call ended, Alex placed his phone on the desk with a bit more force than necessary. His chest burned with a mix of fury and frustration.
“Alex,” Michael said, his tone softer now. “We’ll handle this. You’re not in this alone.”
