He looked down at his own chest, where a neat, smoking hole was blossoming red against his pristine grey suit.
He looked up in disbelief.
I hadn't flinched. The barrel of my silver pistol was still smoking in my steady, unyielding grip.
"That was for my father," I said softly.
Before Victor could drop to his knees, Damian stepped forward. With blinding, effortless speed, Damian grabbed Victor by the throat, lifting the grown man off his feet with one hand, slamming him violently against the concrete pillar behind him.
Victor choked, his legs kicking uselessly in the air, blood pooling in his mouth as he clawed at Damian's iron grip.
