That's what they all believed. It was reasonable for them to think that way. A spoiled wealthy girl and a naive innocent one. Who was the villain? Apparently, no one was on my side. People believe what they want to believe, and I was the one who got their anger. That was that. They couldn't be changed. But I did hold some grievances. I was pissed not because everyone hated me, but because of Annika Summers, the girl with an innocent face I used to take as my best friend.

“Does he really think they will trust him?” “Trust doesn’t matter,” I say as I rise from my chair. “They’ll follow whosoever shows the most strength. Marcellus thinks that’s him, but he doesn’t understand the game he is playing.” “And you do?” Keith asks with a hint of curiosity in his tone. I glance at him. “Better than anyone.” Keith lets out a chuckle. “Fair enough. What’s your plan?” I walk toward the door, my steps steady and deliberate. “We let him think he’s ahead. Let him build his alliances, his empire. And when he’s at his peak, we bring it all crashing down.”

I knew her type of girl, the shy and suffering when in fact her goal was to make other people's lives hell, the reality is that she was the only villain. 一 What are you still doing in front of me? 一 I asked and started to leave, but the girl brutally pulled my arm. 一 You attract attention wherever you walk 一 She uttered the words with hatred and squeezed my arm 一 You're going to lose everything 一 She threatened almost spitting and then I smiled evil. 一 Who do you think you are to threaten me? 一 I asked pulling my arm with all my strength. 一 Your worst nightmare 一 He said with hesitation in his voice.

“I’m not a hero.” “I’m the villain remember,” he reminded me with a grin. “All good villains know how to identify heroes.” He turned his attention to the vine, and the plant pulled back, the vines withering, the flowers and leaves falling, until there was nothing but the faintest shadow on the stone to indicate that it had ever existed at all.

Vivian replied. Indeed, even if he never hurt her, she would never have liked him. The line between good and evil was always clear to her. Good people were good people. Villains were villains. All claims of involuntary actions or forced actions were simply excuses after one’s choice was made. Regardless of time or place, one’s reasons were no excuse for committing evil deeds. He chuckled gently and mumbled to himself, “That’s right. I’ve forgotten. I’m a villain. A lowlife.”

The system said, "It's over, kiddo. The villain's darkening level has hit 100%." I did not know what it meant to be completely villainous. All I knew was that Dad was heartbroken and furious! He was like a wild animal pushed to the edge. Julia looked scared, quickly moving closer to Grandpa. "Honey, if the child dislikes me this much, maybe I should just go..." Grandpa, already a volcano of anger, turned even redder. "She's my wife and your elder! How can you talk to your own mother that way?!"

BRAD The city looked different on snowy nights. There were no stars in the sky just snow falling endlessly. I leaned closer to the glass, my hands in my pockets, my reflection staring back at me: sharp, calm. But right now I was far from calm. I was calculating. People always say every villain has an origin story. Maybe that's true, but I've never really considered myself a villain. No I actually see myself as the hero of this story. Most villains do what they do out of spite and anger, but not me. I do what I do because it's a necessary evil.

Evelina looked toward the palace. “I don't know yet.” Her expression became determined. “But I will find out.” She turned toward Lucien. “And when I do, the truth will no longer belong to the Crown.” The people began whispering among themselves. Evelina stepped down from the platform. I believed the people I cleared out of the way deserved it, or at least that it didn't matter whether they did, because the outcome justified the method.
