Violet Is Nowhere Novels & Stories

I lost my footing on the slick pavement, hitting the ground hard. “Dammit!” My palms were raw, and blood seeped through the fabric at my knees. The sting was sharp, but the panic in my chest was sharper. I fumbled for my phone and hit Noah’s name. One ring. Two. Five. On the seventh attempt, he finally picked up. “Ivy? What’s happened? I’m still at the Ryder Global labs—we’ve got a massive breach in the firewalls. The whole security pack is working overtime. Did you finish your shift at the medical center?”

"I'll wait right here." Violet darted into the room, pulling things from her armoire in a frenzy, until the scent of rain hit her nose. She froze. Storms didn't come to Ipsit, Curzon had made that clear. Thunder rumbled outside. Violet went to the window, her footsteps heavy. She feared finding nothing on the other side—that she was tricking herself. She flung the window open. The damp air engulfed her. Clouds hung low in the darkness, reaching into the valley. Lighting streaked to the south.

Violet said as she's trying to push me out from her changing room. "No baby.. I'm staying here.. No." "She won't go anywhere." Blake pulled me out and I sighed. "I hate you, Austin Portwalt!" Violet hissed before Jean closed the door. "See.. See that behavior! If she runs away.. I'm going to kill you!" I hissed at Blake and he laughed. "She won't run away.. If she does.. You can make another wedd-" I turned to Blake and glared big time. He gestured to me to get into my changing room. I walked in and turned on my laptop to activate the CCTV in Violet's changing room.

"Thinking too much, violet?" the dragon wings that were so familiar just landed on the balcony, with an almost theatrical delicacy. "Overthinking is euphemism, dear..." the purple-eyed one sighed as she said "this all seems so...strange."

“You know what? Forget about the girls here. If Willow gets back and sees that you called in a full squad, she’s going to lose her shit.” Oh, it’ll definitely be mutual. I have a mind to put a handcuff on her and have her tethered to me. “Hello? Can you hear me?!” Violet steps in front of me, getting right in my face. No one ever dares to get that close to me. But she does. She’s tall for a girl and her eyes are a pitch black color, like a moonless night sky. Is that vanilla perfume she’s wearing? “Get out of my way.” I furrow my brows at her. “Don’t let me make you.”

His small body curled softly against me, warm and trusting, and I pressed my cheek lightly to the top of his head. Across the courtyard, Violet abandoned her conversation and made her way to the trays again. Her steps lost their earlier confidence. She looked over each bottle, her breath growing uneven as she searched for the one she had planted. She found it in the wrong position and froze. She whispered something under her breath, then lifted it too quickly, like she expected it to disappear from her hand.

Violet released her aura to the point where it frightened her. "Violettttt oii, don't kill him! I'm not done playing with him yet." Noa was already behind Violet. Lily was thrown as Violet's hand was released from her stomach.

Could he be behind this cryptic message, or was there another, even darker force at play? The parchment, now held tightly in Violet's grasp, seemed to pulsate with an energy of its own. As they exchanged uneasy glances, another gust swept through, this time snatching the parchment from Violet's hand. It spiraled upward, disappearing into the night sky as quickly as it had appeared.

Neil waves the iron bar and looks at me viciously, "Violet, I'm giving you one more chance. If you leave that trash now and come back to me, I will only break his legs. Otherwise ..." I step in front of Ziv, "I won't go back with you. And I won't let you hurt him!" Neil's face twists, hatred burning in his eyes, "Very well. Remember, you made me do this. Today is the day of your death! And this place will be your grave!" "Violet?" asks Ziv, standing behind me. "Don't worry, I've worked on my fighting skills. Should be able to at least get you out of here. I'll protect you."

Violet smiles at her "How are you, Cristal?" She burst into tears " How am I?, shouldn't I be the one asking you that question?, where have you been?, we all thought you died, I went to your fucking funeral!, your voice has been haunting me in this gallery, that's why I've been so scared to leave". I bring out a handkerchief from my pocket and hand it to her, she takes it and blows her nose in it Violet places her hand on her back "I can only imagine how you felt, you've been nothing but amazing to me Cristal, and I thank you for that, I'm here now, everything will be fine".
