Not just of the Northern Range—but of ley lines, mystical energy paths that crossed under Silverlight and connected the world like veins. And every intersection glowed faintly with ink that shimmered. Ressa leaned over. “Those are the ancient sites. Everyone marked as sealed.”

One last look at the camp—the broken throne, the feasting wolves, Alder laughing among them—then he slipped into the forest, gone like smoke. A few minutes later, a map filled the screen, and the coordinates had placed five red dots on the screen, locations. One in Lewe, one in Batsia, a third in Mir, and the other territories that were not ruled by anyone. Mir was home to one of my packs, Green Field, and two of my cities, Avon Wilts and Myrtle Cove. The fourth dot was below Lonely City, right where the Bear kingdom territory met the wolf kingdom territory. The fifth red dot was located on the realms' second continent, in a kingdom called Andora. Kellen’s phone dinged from his pocket and he pulled it out to see who had messaged him, at the same time I heard another ding from Mathias. Without letting go, he pulled his phone out.

“If we go directly north, we pass through the Greyveld territories. That’s contested. Kurnich has allies there.” “So we go around,” Archer said. “Around is another three weeks on foot,” Eli said. “Through terrain that is not exactly forgiving.” Silence. The fire crackled. Ariadne shifted North to her other hip and stepped closer. She studied the map for a moment, then pointed to a route that cut northeast, up through dense forest markings and into the upper territories. “Through here,” she said. Nobody spoke for a beat. “Ariadne,” Eli said carefully. “That’s vampire territory.”

Lucian and his men kept looking for Violet on their horses. They searched the entire kingdom of Merrill, but still couldn't find her. Lucian stopped his horse, followed by his men in the deep forest. They were so exhausted they had not slept for almost three days. "Violet ... Where are you? Why can't I find you?" Lucian said in his mind desperately. Tears filled his eyes. His heart missed her so much and kept begging him to see her. "My king!" one of the chief guards suddenly said, making Lucian and the others turn their heads towards him. "I just remembered that there is a secret path in this forest that leads to the Vidonia kingdom. It is to the west of this forest."

I guess I was a bit lucky to meet Norman. As we marched down the road, I quickly noticed how beautiful the town of Viridian Falls is on its own rights. Everything was green: the trees, their trunks covered with moss, their branches hanging with a canopy of it, the ground covered with ferns. I sniffed, gathering a deep breath of the clean air filtered greenly through the leaves. This must be one of the few positive things that I’m going to be getting here in this town.

“Nothing serious, just an energy drain.” “Did you at least see something familiar or striking in the forest?” “Yes my Lord. Due to the abundant growth of one of the herbs I usually use, I am sure that it's Ash wood forest.” “Ash wood forest? Where is it on the map?” “It's the far east part of the forest around Black Pool pack.” “Do you know the exact place Amelia was?” “No, that herb is very abundant in almost all part of the forest.” “Alright, gather the men. We'll head there this night.”

~Valeria~ Mom spread this super old, yellowed map across the table, and moonlight from the window hit it just right to light up the "Moonlight Forest" marker. The paper looked like it might crumble if someone breathed on it wrong. Alerion leaned over the table immediately, getting so close to the map his nose almost touched it. He pointed at the edge with his finger. "I've got scouts here. If Valeria and I take this route, it's the safest option. No questions."

Damn Lycan speed. I took a deep breath to steady my racing heart, then hurried after my teammates. Our team pushed deeper into the woods, heading southeast. The farther we went, the quieter it got. Hundreds of people entering this forest was like water drops disappearing into the ocean. The woods and mountains had returned to its eerie silence. We reached the spot Silas had marked on the map by evening. This place was exactly as he'd described: quiet, safe, and rich with resources. I gathered the medicinal plants I needed while the others set up camp, refilled our fresh water, and tried to hide our base.
