First Bite

First Bite

And something answered. Runes bloomed like embers beneath the parchment, lines threading outward in slow, deliberate arcs. Not drawn so much as remembered into place. Jade had gone still, breath caught halfway to a curse, as the marks continued to reveal themselves—winding paths through unmarked territory near the northern forest line. When Autumn saw it, recognition hit her like a bruise pressed too hard. That region wasn’t on any current chart. No patrols. No trade routes. No ward stones. No one went there anymore.

The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

The Sickened Luna's Last Chance

His face was pale and drawn, and I could see the uncertainty written clearly in his expression, mirroring my own. We had found a map. Notes pointing to a place called “Forgotten Mountain”—about two days’ journey. There was no concrete certainty that the Viridian Crystal was there, nor was there certainty that it could actually help us. For all we knew, we were on a fool’s errand. And yet, looking at Alexander now, seeing the dark circles under his eyes and the gauntness to his cheeks, I knew I had to try anything to help him. Anything at all.

“We don’t even know where to start.” “I do.” Both men turned toward her as she moved around the table. Her eyes landed on the forest carved into the eastern side of the map—an unmarked section of land, thick with old magic. Miranda and Victoria had spoken of it the night before: the place where ley lines converged, a nexus of energy that witches once used for scrying. Dangerous. Untamed. But powerful enough to cut through any barrier. “If Damien’s using spells to mask their scent,” Aria said, her voice steady, “then we’ll use stronger magic to find them.”

Lycan King's Cursed and Rejected Mate

Lycan King's Cursed and Rejected Mate

I leaned in closer. He reached for the map spread out on my desk and pointed to a spot marked with a red pen. "The Northern Forest is only twenty miles from this entrance. If my hunch is right, the Ferals are living there, and it's just five miles from their likely base to this weak point." "Oh! That would explain a lot," I muttered, studying the map as pieces clicked into place.

Her home, somewhere beyond the forest. "Well, what do you smell?" Aunt Ree asked, smiling at Violet. But Violet still had her eyes closed and her nose tilted up in the air. "Vee?". "I smell home" Violet whispered as she gazed dreamily at the forest. "What did you say?" Aunt Ree asked. Snapping out of it, Violet looked at aunt Ree and smiled, "I smell forest after rain". "Forest after rain. Nice one" she gave Violet a thumbs up. Violet looked up at the sky and said, "let's carry our stuff in. The sun is setting soon". "Oh right, right. Let's take them in" aunt Ree agreed, opening the trunk.

SILVER PACT

SILVER PACT

“The moment Saris completes the reverse Circle, the balance tips forever.” There was silence. Then Lyra sighed. “Alright. We’ll go dark. Regroup at the Ash root Crag in three days. No delays.” They clasped hands one last bond before the unknown. Then vanished into the tree The path to Veda was marked by fire. Literal fire. Ari walked alone now, Mira’s scroll and journal strapped to her back, the pendant still glowing faintly. The forest grew hot and dry, the air crackling with invisible tension.

Those moving, real time heat signatures on the virtual forest map; the videos from different parts of the forest and the tree that Sofia was hidden in. Dash quickly tapped a few buttons on one of the monitors and played the video back.

Mated to my Bully

Mated to my Bully

“This is it.” Zephyr peered at this map like it was form another world. He left me, placing his own map on the ground and spreading it out. He looked back at her map and tried to link the two locations. He couldn’t. I joined him and we spent over thirty minutes on it before we finally found it. It had been labeled wilderness on our map and it was a place famous for its thick grasses and swamps. Zephyr rose up, he wore this ‘I thought as much’ expression on his face.

Moonbound At Sliver Ridge

Both things could be true. Professor Marcellus swept into class—robes flaring like he’d practiced that entrance—which snapped the room into silence. Illusion-maps floated above his desk, showing Lycandra’s forests, Lycan’Dra’s spires, Valoria’s twilight rivers, the ash-crowned mountains of Drakonis, and finally… the Wilds. The Wilds always felt like they were staring back.

He explained. Embarrassment had my cheeks heating. “Right. I apologize, I’m still recovering from everything.” “Don’t mention it. You have every right to be protective of the ones you love.” Lyra countered with ease. She swiped a few of the papers off the table and slid them over to our side. One was a map of the country with two clear dots stationed almost a thousand miles apart. “There are two hidden Lycan camps. The biggest is Maine, and the smaller is Virginia. You’ll notice both are deep within the Appalachian Mountains.”

Awesome book with a crazy, strong female. Has some typos and inconsistencies but still understandable as has decent grammar. Would be better if nox had shown more of his abilities to be at par with his strong mate

This was the 3rd Jane Doe book I read. Alpha nox is a really good read with a badass female lead. You're a talented author and I can say you've become my favorite author! My heart broke into pieces at some point but intense emotions are what I love the most about your work! Good job, Jane!
