Vaughn's gaze deepened on Fin. "I don't know where you got that attitude of yours Fin." Said Mr. Vaughn. "You want to know?" Fin asked. "I got my attitude from my dad." Fin said and laughed. "You're a dog dad so I'll probably be a dog too." Fin said and smiled. "Fin Flynn!" Creed said threateningly.

Finlay said with absolute seriousness. "I don't believe you. Look at you, you came running into my arms, and you hugged me but Fina did nothing of that sort. She's standing there just staring at us. She didn't miss me," He said sadly and the toddler faced Fiona who cocked a perfect brow at him. It was obvious he was acting. "Fina, come to hug Dwarco," Finn said moving his chubby fingers as if ushering her to come closer. "No thank you, Finn. I didn't miss him." She said with a tight smile making the toddler frown.

Mira "Silence! I am your Alpha, and you will hold your tongue if you wish to keep it!" Finn’s voice echoed throughout the hall. His eyes which usually looked cold and calm, were now frantic, darting between the healer and the stone-faced Elders. "The healer was granted permission to speak, Finn," Elder Matthias said, his voice dropping. "You will sit down. Now." Finn didn't sit, but he stopped shouting. His chest heaved, his breath coming in ragged, shallow hitches.

~Kaelen’s pov~ Finn’s laugh crackled faintly over the phone, the kind of easy sound that came too quickly to be real. I leaned back in the chair, pinching the bridge of my nose as I listened. He was good at pretending better than most but I’d known him long enough to recognize when he was covering something. “Don’t tell me you’re still sulking,” Finn teased. “Not your fault the girls lined up like moths and your wolf couldn’t bother to twitch.”

Finn asked in a low voice. “Seen what?” I wondered out loud. He did not reply me, or rather not by words. He opened his phone and played a clip and handed the phone to me. I watched confused at first before I realized that it was a prank being played, my mood turned icy when I saw who was being naked.

His body was starting to grow numb from the cold, and his breathing was a little weak. He really didn't know what to do. He missed Niam so much... "Hello?" Finn heard a voice above his head. The voice was magnetic and smooth, rousing Finn from his dozing state. He felt like he was in a dream. "Hello? Are you okay? Do you need help?" The voice came again. This time, it was even more obvious, and Finn felt like he could hear the man's voice resonating with his soul. It was the kind of voice that would make one wonder if the owner was a singer. It was melodious to the ears.

Finn isn’t just making us kill random criminals. He’s pulling us into the war. And the worst part? We didn’t see it coming. His name is Jonah Carver. Mid-level enforcer. The kind of guy who keeps Rosetti’s people in check, runs their weapons trade, makes problems disappear. Killing him? It wouldn’t just be another hit. It would be a declaration. Finn is using us to start something bigger. And if we go through with it, there’s no turning back. Levi and I stand outside the car, a few feet away from Owen, voices low.

He raised a brow, amused. “Finn doesn’t curse,” I said, voice even. “Not even when he was cornered by Reed and Cassius the other day. He speaks softly, rarely raises his voice. His smile is gentle. And no matter how bad things get, he never talks about killing. Even when he probably should.” The imposter’s expression twitched bitterly as I continued. “If you were going to deceive us by pretending to be Finn… you should’ve done your research better.”

“Before we go, here.” He gave me a sword, then another to Mira, and one more to the young man who still hasn't said a word. “You will need to defend yourself when you have to. That should help.” Finn said. Let's go. It was amazing how Finn was able to help me lead us out of the pack beyond the border into the forest. If I didn't know better, I would think Finn was not blind. But from the number of times I have spent observing him, I have realized that his sense of smell and sound is great, better than the seven of us combined; it was almost like his superpowers.

"I've been locked inside that orb for years, and finally, someone worthy has shown up!" My voice comes out high-pitched. "Excuse me, but who are you?" "Oh, right!" The stranger puts me down and clears his throat. "I'm bad at the whole talking thing." I almost laugh. Almost. "I can see that..." The stranger grins and sticks out a massive hand, expecting me to take it, and when I hesitantly grab it with my suspicious eyes locked on his face, his lips turn cheesy. "The name is Finn, guardian of the element of wind—I'm at your service, ready to tackle any obstacle!"
