I opened my mouth to respond when Ember’s body rose until she was upright. Her feet dangled below her, several feet above the water, but if I needed to, I could at least reach her now.
I held my breath as I felt her wolf come forward. Her presence was so strong that I almost shouted in celebration of the return of her wolf.
