Wagered To The Alpha Mafia King Novels & Stories

None of those stories made sense to Aurora. She believed the king was a selfish bastard that enjoyed bleeding everyone's pocket dry. They had to pay taxes that got higher and higher every year and all the money went back to their evil king. The people of the village became poorer and their evil king became richer. For survival, most had to be thieves to provide for their large families. These poor individuals were imprisoned if they couldn't afford to pay their taxes. The villagers lived in fear of their king. No one was brave enough to utter profanity against him.

Mia finally put down her paper bag after hearing my words. Not long after that, our order was ready. I saw that there were some menus that I rarely get in the penthouse. I invited Mia to taste all the food. "Mia, eat up. Don't leave any. I'll get angry if you do." Mia smiled at my words. "Of course, ma'am. I won't leave any food on my plate." In the middle of our munching, I asked Mia, "Mia, I read on some website about werewolves. Is it true? Each Alpha only has one Luna to be his mate? Does that mean... Thane will always be loyal to me?"

“You should have done your research beforehand. Perhaps you won’t fail stealing from another mafia.” He grunted. “Who are you?” She finally withdrew her gun and squatted down to his level. The confidence of this woman was beyond me. “Allow me to introduce myself. La regina. The queen of the mafia.” His chuckle was taunting yet with desperation. “There is no queen in the mafia.”

“The pack has formally spoken. We have made a final decision that we no longer want you as our rightful Alpha.” I laughed, the sound loud and sharp with disbelief, sitting back down slowly, my eyes scanning the faces of everyone in the room. “Is that truly so?” I said, my voice dripping with cold mockery. “You seriously think you can just vote me out of my rightful position? That’s hilarious and pathetic, Marcus. You’re acting like your statement is a real threat to me. Go on now, tell me—why do you honestly think you can successfully remove me from my power?”

“I’ll be back in a minute, angel.” He stood up, glaring at Jake. “I’m ready…to make you regret all of this.” Jake laughed. “Alright boss, you’re the king…get it started.” Zayd walked past him and into the center of the crowd. He took a deep breath. “As alpha king, I pledge that the outcome of this battle is what I’ll stand by. If I lose, I will disregard my position and if I am to die, then my title will be handed to my opponent. You may now place your bets.”

My presence made him glance up, and in that moment, I realized what I had missed all along. Kade King Majesty was the master of the game. He had to be cold and calculating to survive. Raised in the wealthiest castle, shaped by a king and queen to rule, the Only Alpha Wolf… yet he couldn’t sleep peacefully at night. He couldn’t be free. Not even in love. Karma had already started its work. Justice cloaked in discomfort and restlessness. I didn’t need to dirty my hands. I couldn’t win anyway. I had no crown. No throne. No immortality. Just losses. Too many.

the Alpha King intervened, a mask of boredom on his face. “But you can,” the Mad Alpha looked as if he was having the time of his life. I tried to figure out his plan. Did he want to simply kill us all? Or was there something else? He sure wasn’t showing us his real personality now. “Yet I won’t,” The Alpha King chuckled, looking down on the Mad Alpha. “Alpha Wade may be bankrupt, but Alpha Jenn isn’t and I sure as hell I’m not. This was a nice trip either way, I wanted to finally see your face. You’ve been hiding well in your fox hole all this time.”

Did I really want to get entangled in the complex world of wolves and royalty, especially for a sum of money that suddenly seemed less important in the face of potential danger? Confusion gnawed at me. Was Alfred serious? Here he was, the mighty Alpha King, offering to pay me a ridiculously high sum – five million wolf dollars! Despite the danger that lurked beneath the surface, the sheer amount of money was undeniably alluring. A life free of debt, a fresh start...it was a tempting proposition. "Are you…certain?"I ventured, my voice hesitant. "About the money, I mean." A flicker of amusement crossed Alfred's face, a hint of something unreadable in his dark eyes. "Quite certain," he replied.

I laughed loudly before I removed the blindfold from my eyes. “You fucking lose this time.” I bragged and he snorted and complained I was cheating. “I wasn't cheating, I'm using this blindfold so you will never think I'm fooling you.” “Shut up. Okay, you fucking win this time. It seems I need to make sure I will seriously train you. I realized you're getting better and whenever I see you, there's a difference...” “What do you mean?” “It seems you are higher than the weird Alpha.
