They were too far into the hunt now. The vampire was now running at full speed down the middle of 54th Street, which was surely a good pace, but it was nowhere near as fast as his pursuers. I was getting better at it. Wyatt grinned and then Dex stood before me. He took off running and Dali followed. I thought Dali could run fast, but Dex was faster. Wally frowned, then looked down at the extra vial of serum in his hand. Who gave him this? Where did they go? When did they slip away? He stood there, puzzled for a few seconds, then shook it off and turned back toward the lab. Just some low-level researcher, nothing worth chasing down.
