“How long do you think he’ll take to get back here? I think he must run here.” “It took us the better part of an hour, so you might as well relax and get comfortable. We’re in for quite a wait.” Wally settled down and led against a fallen log. “I’m thinking we might want to leave some food out. If the shifters don’t eat it, then there are animals that will.”

He huffs and accelerates, jumping over and under branches and fallen trees, making sharp turns, fleeing habits kicking in. A thrill of pleasure crawls through his spine when he sees Weston struggling to keep up. The challenge makes Millan's hair bristle and shifts his focus out of his mind and into his muscles. Weston is fast and more agile than your typical alpha. He seems to get as much fun out of this as Millan since he gets more than one chance to put Millan to a stop and clearly refrains from doing so. The growl in his chest became louder. The Hybrid started to walk. Slowly– taunting him. Remus walked too, determined to put enough distance from him and Eden. Then the Hybrid ran. Remus stopped and shouted his command, “Run!” Eden took off to the other wing of the building. She knew something was wrong. Remus felt different. The hooded figure terrified her to the bones and so did Remus. So when he shouted for her to run, she did. But he didn’t tell her not to look back– which she also did.

I sighed, “We can’t let that much time pass again. After this attack is done and we can live a normal life, we might be able to get back to our long runs.” Wendy smiled, “I miss those runs. They were always so therapeutic for me.” I agreed, “Me too.” Isaac smiled, “They were fun… especially when mom and dad joined us.” I chuckled, “Your mom shocked you so much on our first twenty-mile run.” Isaac laughed, “I didn’t expect her to be such an expert runner.” I giggled, “What part of track and field medal winner did you not understand?” Isaac shrugged, “You got me.” After finishing our work out and taking our showers, I started cooking breakfast. I pointed out the route to Bernie, "If you have no more questions, let's run." “I need to leave early today so I only ran five laps!” Having said that, I warmed up for a bit and then started running. When I had run a lap, Bernie caught up with me. He seemed like a regular exerciser. Half a lap in the park is also more than a kilometer. Bernie is not breathing fast or showing any signs of fatigue. He adjusted the pace to match me, then said: “My mother just called. She said that I needed to go home a little early. I'll be back with you soon."

I barely made it past the second oak tree, when I started running…I ran until I became… the impossible. Do you know that wolves can run at 36 - 38 MPH without feeling exhausted? Alexander May sprinted into the night, through the vastly dense forest, he started to shift into his wolf form. The air was fresh and crisp with a strong wind ruffling his tan fur. He stopped to sniff the air, trying to gather any scent that may give him direction. He looked into the darkness with his sea blue eyes, trying to find any clues to the mystery.

"Just checking my messages. What about you? You seem antsy." Caleb shrugged. "I guess I'm just feeling restless. I need to do something to get my blood pumping." Rory grinned. "How about we go for a run? That always gets your blood pumping." Caleb nodded in agreement. "Yeah, let's do it." They both got out of bed and quickly changed into their running clothes. As werewolves, they needed to exercise regularly to keep their bodies in top shape. Caleb could feel the cool morning air on his face as they stepped out of the palace and into the woods.

A huge gust of wind came up and hit Wyatt in the gut and threw him back 15 feet. I couldn’t believe that just happened! I looked at my hands like they were from a foreign place. How did I just do that? ‘Nina, Run!’ Raven said to me. I looked up and saw Wyatt shift into a large black wolf. I took off running. I could feel him behind me. ‘Don’t look back, just run! I will help you!’ Raven gave me some of her speed and I could feel Wyatt fall behind me. I ran to the packhouse and didn’t stop for anyone. I ran straight up to my room and slammed the door.

I slowed down to a walk and bore through the pain until it lessened, and I could resume running full speed again. Wyatt slows down and stands beside me as we continue to walk through the halls. However, he says nothing. Does he know what I’m going through? Suddenly, Gus’ words at the bus station come flooding back to me. How does he know that I’m running away from something? I could have just been going to visit family. He didn’t know. However, the look in his eyes almost makes me think that maybe he knew, but how.
