“I guess I have to go,” I said quickly. I foolishly took steps at a normal human speed. As a result, Justin managed to stop me again and get in my way. “Are you a wolvire?” Justin asked suddenly. I looked at him confused. “My name is Bara, not Wolvire.” Justin patted his forehead like he was out of mind because of my foolishness. “I mean ‘wolvire’; stands for wolf-vampire.”

The counsel member walks with 2 guards of his own and smiles at me, “Alpha Christov, thank you for calling us about this, he extends his hand to me, Counsel Investigator Ryan.” I shake his hand and open the door to my office and guide him to the door in the book shelves, he walks inside, he pulls his phone out and calls someone immediately and as he listens he turns and looks at me, his voice is clear, “I’ll take care of this right now.” He looks at me with a stoic mask, “Where is your Beta?” I shrug, “Don’t know, he’s missing since Friday evening,” I look at his mate. She looks at Investigator Ryan, “he received a call Friday after dinner and he left.”

Nala replied with a grin, "Not likely. Milo's strong. Wally's tough, sure, but his earlier methods were mostly effective against weaker opponents. Milo won't fall for that." As they stepped onto the platform, Wally spoke. "It seems you're not planning to surrender." Milo sneered. "Icejade Sect techniques? You think you can fool me with your little tricks?" Wally's eyes narrowed. He hadn't expected someone to recognize his origins. "Then let's see what you've got." The fight began, and Wally vanished, employing the same stealthy tactics he had used in previous matches to take down Milo. "Send a courier. I'll give you the address." "No, I wouldn't trust anyone with Wally—you should come pick him up yourself," Adam said, before adding, "Don't worry. I won't trick you into coming back and then hurt you." Without giving Renee a chance to refuse, Adam hung up. Then her phone vibrated several times—it was Adam again, and she tapped on it to see that it really was photos of Wally. It was adorable as ever, it rolled around and bit a rubber chicken, baring its round belly and fluffy tail.

The message on it is slightly faded but I will always know what's written on it. Batman + Robin = Forever Jace rushes over to me and places Robin on the floor. He begins to crawl around the living room, grabbing onto the couches and coffee tables for support when he tries to walk. Jace and I stare proudly. He stares at me and asks, "What are you thinking?" Watt grinned, his bald head shining under the office lights. I snorted and shook my head. “She didn’t do that.” But damn, I wished she had. She was the kind of woman you thought about all day. Watt leaned forward, his massive frame taking up most of the couch. He looked like a granite statue, all muscle and sharp eyes. He was my Beta, my second-in-command, a former bouncer built like a tank. Most people thought he was scary, but I knew he had a soft heart. “But something happened, right? Tell me.”
