I just knew. So here I was, willing to go to any length to keep the devil away from that little boy. Joey was left with Vector's guards, who continued to give him rides on their backs one by one. Which, to be honest, was a very strange sight to have. Every time Joey appeared to be close to tumbling to the ground, I could literally feel goosebumps sprouting all over my arms or my heart squeezing and clenching with fear. Those men might look like professional killers, what with their broody demeanor and physiques clearly intended to crush opponents to the ground, but while they let Joey play with them, they strangely appeared nearly as soft as a teddy bear.

Finch’s POV “Keep in contact using mindlink,” I tell everyone. “This one is named Joey,” Ari tells me as I open the door for us. “Joey?” I ask the young man in front of me. He is dirty from the fight, light brown hair and eyes. He can’t be more than 25. “Yeah, that's me,” he looks at us, then jumps his chains keeping him in place. “I don’t want her in here.” “Why?” Ari asks calmly while sitting down. “What is it about me that scares you?”

A fire crackled in the hearth, casting flickering shadows across the room. “Who are you?” Reina asked, her claw hand still tightened. “I am called the Keeper,” the figure replied, a sly smile curling at the edges of their lips. “And I may be able to help you find your friend.” Russe stepped forward, hope shining in his eyes. “Please, we’ll do anything,” he pleaded. The Keeper nodded, their eyes darting between the two companions. “Very well,” they said. “But first, I must know what you are willing to sacrifice.”

Harry asked in a whisper, “Mr. Jourdain, this is Bryson Yost, a warlord.” Leon, who planned to kill Kayson to get merits, was appalled. “What did you say? A warlord?” Kayson glanced at Carlson coldly, and the latter sneered. “What are you looking at!?” Kayson merely smirked and approached Farris, who had fainted. He put a hand on Farris, his gaze growing icier. “Leon Jourdain, was I rude to you? Have I mistreated you?”

“Heel!” The raging ape breathes deep and exhales, lowering its posture and stepping away from its downed foe. It then proceeds to retrieve an unconscious IvorySting from the bushes, carrying with him the fruits she had gathered. “Kofe, see to the beast, Jojo might have injured it. Ah princess, since it seems you didn’t notice my other friend here earlier, let me introduce him. This is Jojo. He is really sweet when you get to know him better.”

The man turned around and continued to ride away. “You can’t leave me!” Jade continued. “You cannot leave me to die!” Her pleas fell on deaf ears. None of the men turned back. Now completely distraught, Jade fell to her knees once more. She felt completely drained. As tears started to fall, a strong arm appeared out of nowhere to pull her up. Plop! She found herself seated at the back of a camel. “You can ride with me,” its rider said. With a renewed sense of hope, Jade mustered all the strength she had left. “Thank you,” she said as she finally succumbed to sleep.

Bloody coward. "My name is Jojo Wyatt," I spoke with all the authority I had taken time to muster. "And I'm here to see Cole Rush!"

She curled her lips and called out, "Kent Simons?" Kent was surprised. He pushed his sunglasses up and revealed a pair of foxy eyes. He observed her and asked, "Cutie, have we really met before?" Joey said, "I'm Joey Linton." Kent thought hard for a couple of seconds. He finally remembered who Joey was and stood up straight in all seriousness. He spoke dryly, "Joey … Zachary's wife …" Joey didn't say anything further. She glanced at the supercar's bumper and said, "So, about the car …"

I swore. "But if the kingdom falls to their hands," Jared mumbled. "The power won't last long, I will come with my army and I will kill them, I will make all of them suffer just like they did to me," I vowed. "How, where would you get an army from?" Jared asked. "It's my secret, I don't know if it will work but if it does, then I have the largest army in this kingdom, but first, I need to heal, to get my strength back before leaving," I said, heading to the bed.

The armies in the other clans' region also did the same. They shared their military force so that they could cover the weaknesses of the other clans with their strength united. The commander of this army was a shark man with grey skin. His hair was short and swayed around in the current. His muscles were toned and showed strength. His hands and feet were webbed and he also had a large fin on his back. His black armour with blue edges only covered his torso and crotch area. His shark skin was tough so he didn't really need the armour. His name was Afro Joss.
