Swoosh! A streak of light flashed by and sliced through the ropes. Mrs. Swift was rescued. Nearby, a dozen of the Western Forces soldiers noticed the shadow. They quickly reacted by raising their rifles to fire. However, the shadow did not even turn its head as it simply threw a few darts. The darts were so fast that they struck the soldiers before they could even pull the trigger. The soldiers collapsed, and the rifles clattered to the ground. Each dart struck right between their brows and killed them instantly.

“You wouldn’t shoot me.” Amelia didn’t even flinch. “Try me.” A heavy silence fell between them. Damien took a cautious step forward. BANG! The shot cracked through the air. Damien staggered back, clutching his shoulder as blood spread through his sleeve. “Ah—!” he gasped, shock twisting his face. Amelia didn’t move. “That was your warning,” she said coldly. “Next one won’t miss.” Damien stared at her like she was a stranger. “You’re insane…”
