I discreetly grab Jennie’s hand, “Nine o’clock.” She simply nods, getting what I mean.
I look at the security guards and whisper to her, “On the count of three.”
“One, two, three!”
In a fraction of a second, Jennie and I run as we kick and push the first men who get on our way. I hurry to the coffee table, take the weapon from under it, pull the trigger and fire to get everyone’s attention. The gunshot cracks into the air like thunder, making the guests scream and look at me with horrified eyes. “This is a warning everyone!” I shout. “You need to leave the mansion! You are in danger!”
