"Look what we have here. Poaching our omegas again, Kat?" Kat bared her teeth, her hackles raising instinctively. "They are not your omegas. We take what we want from these lands." The warrior chuckled darkly. "Not anymore. Your pack has gotten greedy, and now you'll pay the price." He lifted his hand in signal, and the other warriors closed in.

He'd reached Catherine. I arrived to find them locked in combat—Dante's obsidian wolf against Catherine's brown wolf, both evenly matched. Our warriors had engaged Catherine's personal guard, keeping them from interfering. "Catherine!" I called out. "This doesn't have to end in death!" She broke off from Dante, shifting to human form. "You're right. It ends with your surrender." "Never." "Then we fight until one of us can't fight anymore." She shifted back to wolf form and charged.

Vee dropped one of her swords. Killian couldn’t wait any longer. He let go of the rope and launched himself towards the ground. As he fell, he shifted, the power rippled up his spine. He landed hard on all four and took off at a sprint just as Vee fell to her knees. The Werecat landed a hard blow to Vee’s head and she collapsed. The cat had its jaws just inches from Vee’s throat when Killian tackled the beast and they went rolling sideways. They were maw to maw as the warriors started raining down above them. The Shifters started to fall back as the warriors began cutting them down in huge swatches.

Another woman frowned, unable to understand this. “I told you guys to go up the path. Go up the path guys. Why can’t you all understand?” Skyler was speechless as his hints were so obvious. He did not expect that Orchid and the others would still struggle to understand. “It’s not the Goddess of War, but we need to think higher? Could it be…” Orchid frowned and soon smiled bitterly. “Could it be the Supreme Warrior?” “That’s right!” Skyler smiled indifferently. “The person who’s looking to hire bodyguards is the Supreme Warrior. The one and only strongest person in our Cathysia army, the Supreme Warrior!”

Leno said pointedly. I fold my arms in front of me. “Anything else, Beta Leeeeeno,” I said, scoffing while dragging his name. He stepped forward, standing in front of me. “You know you are lucky it was me and not my mate,” he said, grinning menacingly. I visibly shudder. I am not a warrior. I barely went through the training to shift our first time. But Nora came from another pack. She is scary in combat. I gulped and nodded. “Good, you do have a guard outside. Just ask him what you need, and we will get it,” he said while he walked away, his back to me, waving his hand.
