The warriors who had entered with him stepped forward, each carrying a sword. Lucien looked directly at me. “You have fifteen minutes to defeat all ten of them.” A smile slowly curled across my lips as I looked at the warriors. “But,” Lucien added, “you’ll fight without a weapon.” My stomach tightened. My gaze shifted briefly toward Kael. Ten warriors… in fifteen minutes… and I can’t use a weapon? Lucien’s voice pulled my attention back. “If you don’t think you can do it, speak up now and remain in this pack.”

She was dragging her feet. Pomelia was forced to face War and she continued to look down, twisting her trembling mouth to the side. "When mates are close to one another they secrete a certain scent. You both are secreting something different. You two are mates." "I am capable of taking care of you," War consoled her as his mate silently cried. What was he supposed to do? He couldn't reject her. He needed her... "I am...I'm sure you can W-War...I just want to serve the goddess, I don't want to be with a man," she sniffled as Warren frowned. Well, he definitely wanted to be with a woman, specifically her.

LAUREN'S POV “Fine, Lauren, you win!” The teen warrior who was older than me cried, “Seriously, why are you so strong? You are only 7!” “No. You are too weak. A good warrior in my father’s pack should be as strong as I am.” I knew what I said was not exactly true. He was full of potential and expected to be the strongest warrior in the future. It was a serious battle which is normal among wolves. “Another victory isn’t it, my little cupcake? Congratulations!”

Warren raised his fists, "I guess we'll find out then. If Giichi wants to scrap, I am more than happy to give him one," "Eidolon in phylacteries are easier to control, but they are not as powerful as a bonded. I am confident we will be the victors." The armored man griffin aura appeared and wrapped around Warren's body. "Don't make me do this, kid," Cyrus warned, "I like you, and I don't have any problems putting you out for the count," The tengu aura erupted from the tiny bottle and surrounded Cyrus. "If I win, you fall in line. If you win, you get to leave," Warren offered.

The neon sign outside “THE FULL MOON” bar flickered with a buzzing sound that usually meant a bulb was about to explode, but inside the air was a scent of cheap whiskey, expensive cigar smoke, and the musky pheromones of filthy restless werewolves. “My name is ROXY” I stood backstage, leaning against a peeling locker watching Jax, adjust his glittery thong in the mirror. Jax was my best friend. “Just a little here, and yup that’s it” He chuckled while dusting gold shimmers onto his pecs.

If I wed a high society type, some asshole, I’ll be expected to pop out kids immediately and I could kiss my career good-bye. I continued to stare at my father, then dart my eyes to Leonard who looks smug as hell. “It’s already rigged isn’t it, there’s a certain one you both want me to pick,” I snap, crossing my arms. “No sweetheart, I swear. It will be a fair competition,” my dad replies. I snort at that. “We have made arrangements for Shadow Warriors to oversee security, ensure it is a fair competition and fight. One is a demon and telepath and two are shifters which will supply some muscle,” Leonard says, still with the grin of a liar.

In typical Jade fashion the reports are color coded, cross-referenced and she has included a flash drive to d******d all of it to my laptop. I notice right away that the more magical cats, “The Magi,” don’t mix often with the warrior groups. Sensing that this could hurt us as a pride I set out to remedy this. I partner up a warrior with a “Magi” and assign all to meet three times a week to brainstorm possible strategies. There are some new werecats that haven’t gotten too involved, that has to change as well. It would be all hands on deck for the foreseeable future. Everyone had something they could contribute. We are growing, but if we are to survive as a species, we are going to ne

A sick smirk graces his face and triumphant glint gleams in his beady eyes. Bastard “I Tomislav Oresic, Challenge the princess for the right to the crown!” All eyes turn to the hulking werecat that stands up amongst the crowd, a man who was sitting to the left of Maydor’s tent. The dude is huge, built like a werewolf with mean eyes and bulking muscles. A man I had never seen before - a werecat who was not a warrior but was built like a brick shit house and twice as intimidating.

With her heightened human strength, she doesn't bother. She picks Campbell up by his throat, tossing him over the hellhounds and into the cage.

Through his mindlink, he felt the warriors assigned to him, as they all started changing to their ultimate fighting forms. And though he was no warrior, he was a very impressive tactician. Plus, his speed and agility made him a very hard target to hit. Meanwhile, his beloved mate was a wonderful soldier, always obediently following orders.
