~Hunter’s Point of View~ I was enjoying my nice, quiet day off soaking in my huge tub. It had been a long week and my brothers and I rotated being on active duty and on call. I was aching for my week off. They were few and far between anymore since it seemed like everyday someone else was being a menace, being difficult. My brothers and I were Shadow Warriors, a coalition of various supernatural beings that keep the peace between each other and between our own kind. It’s a damn hard job, but someone has to do it.

Me, Liam and Oliver We went to the same kinder garden, and same school and college, we have been together for a long time and our bond is not something others can break just like that. Alpha Liam and his pack are good with fighting, Alpha Oliver and his werecat pack are good with strategies. I look after the ruling and handling the council. And when we are at war both of their packs play a major role, Werecats plan the war strategy and my pack warriors and black panthers fight the war. All our three packs have a perfect harmony existing together as each other’s supporting system and backbones.

Maddox puffed his chest and crossed his arms against it. “Show us you are worthy to become one of us, Catherine.” He said proudly, and I wanted to roll my eyes, but I kept my expression stoic as I met the warrior’s gaze in front of me. “Luna Catherine…” The warrior nodded his head and was about to position himself when I spoke, making him snap his head in my direction again. “My name is Catherine Montrell,” I emphasized my last name. “Call me, Lady Montrell, warrior.” He swallowed before a genuine smile tugged on his mouth, but it was gone in seconds. The fierceness in his eyes was gone as well, replaced by respect and fascination, giving me hope that he would not aim for the kill.

Hector told me that morning in training. Hector and I were gathered around by the warriors, urging us to have a second match. Hector initially refused, but after everyone chanted "Scaredy cat," he accepted. We started circling each other, and I could feel the energy radiating from Hector. He lunged at me, and I blocked him. Then I went on the offensive, and I forced him back. As we continued to fight, I could tell Hector was getting more serious. The intensity in his eyes grew, and his strikes became more precise. Following his words, the four knights behind him too held their swords, their eyes sharp and on high alert. They gazed around the hall, counting the number of people who seemed to be ready to attack them.

"I’ve traveled the world. Been to weird, creepy places, but I always felt safe… And now you’re telling me there are werewolves all over the place?" She turned to face me again. "This is too much." Her voice cracked. "No, no, no…" She groaned and covered her face. "Now I don’t even wanna step outside my apartment!" Despite the chaos in my chest, I almost laughed. She was all over the place emotionally. Then she suddenly snapped back. "Wait! You said you're a soldier. Was that even true?" Here we go. "Kinda. I’m a warrior in my pack." "What does that mean?"

"Please note that your enemy will not be as lenient as me to reduce my weapon, the more for them, the advantage it is," I explained. "You should have let us use our wolf form," he complained. "And why would I?" I asked. "Because that's how we were trained, if I am using my wolf mood, I am more confident to win you," he replied.

They moved as one, their weapons a symphony of steel against fur, each blow struck with the force of unyielding determination. As the moon reached its zenith, casting an ethereal glow upon the battleground, the tide of the battle shifted. Prince Edon, fueled by a mixture of valor and the weight of his kingdom's expectations, found a moment of opportunity.
