She was at her last gasp as her bones were forcibly dismantled and her mental state was terrible to the point of hanging by a thread with a third of the bones in her body had been removed. Crack! A rib was forcibly severed again. A male trialist in red spun the bone in his hand as he ferociously roared, “Are you still refusing to speak? Tell us quickly. Where are your two companions? Do you think you can beg for death to your heart’s content if you say nothing? Impossible. Later, I’ll get a few bones from the lowly bone demons and transplant them to you so that you’ll...” Swoosh! Before he could even finish, a sharp arrow suddenly broke through the air and directly hit the man’s head.

I continued speaking and saw that Gáta and Ivar began to despair, as they know I will reveal what happened to Sophia. I had managed to connect the dots, that Ivar was responsible for abandoning Sophia in an alley almost dead, but it is hard to prove that, as I still haven't found the witches who cast the spell to keep Ivar away. "What I know so far, that Sophia herself told me, is that she was abandoned in an alley, completely injured, with several broken bones and many internal damages. She only survived because some humans found her and took her to a hospital where they performed several surgeries and she survived." I looked attentively at Ivar.

I sighed, already feeling a crick in my neck. “So sit down, and we can end your ridiculous rationale that I wouldn’t want you,” I said with a gesture to the chairs. “Fine.” He grunted as he sat. The chair made an unpleasant sound as it tried to support his weight. I grimaced as the metal legs bent, and my poor Ivan crashed to the floor. The thud of him hitting the floor alerted many people around us, whom all turned to gawk. Ivan let out an annoyed breath as he got to his feet and picked up the deformed chair.

However, the God lost out on one crucial thing: determination. Ivan raised his leg and kicked the creature away from him, allowing him to collect himself. The fire of his sword did seem to have an effect on the God; his claws were blackened and shorter and stubbier than before. Perhaps the key was not the weapon, but the magic? Still, Ivan was a little unconfident with his pure magic abilities in battle. He had always excelled in kinesthetic magic, applying it to battle and whatnot. This was a first for him. It’s not like you fight a God everyday.

I loved so fast that by the time I was hitting his leg with mine, he didn't see it. He just felt me whooping past. He screamed as the bone gave. As he tried to stand and heal, I zoomed past and although he tried to move away, my kick hit home. I felt his calf bone break. Those were two in one leg. By the time I was killing him, he would regret it. But something strange happened. One moment, Jared was crying in pain and the next, he was standing all healed. No. Even the best of vampires like me can't heal that fast.

The hulky albino man sneezed out a hurricane and it made the air tremble. When Irena turned her head, that’s when she felt a hand grab her wrist. Princess Death Row could do nothing when she felt the hand bend her wrist upward, snapping the bones in her wrist. When Irena felt the bones in her wrist snap in half, that’s when she dropped her revolver and screamed out her lungs. Irena experienced the pain of a broken bone. The jabbing pain sent her to her knees.

Their pained noises echoed against the brick walls, filling the silence with something almost… pathetic. Ivar’s laugh broke through it, low and amused, like he found their suffering to be nothing more than a joke. I had seen him done things more brutal. So it didn't surprise me. When he turned back to me, the grin was still in his face. "Well, look at them, isn't this fascinating to watch? I had totally forgotten them." I didn't react. He went still and started studying me with his eyes again. Slowly. “How come you couldn’t handle them yourself?” he asked finally, tilting his head in mock curiosity. “You are still a weakling, aren't ya?”

"Do your worse." Suddenly, he started howling out in pain again, the sound of his bones cracking filling the air as Ivy chanted. His body, though tied to the chair, now looked bent at an unnatural angle, clearly broken in multiple places. She waited a few minutes to let his body heal back to normal before going at it again. He screamed himself hoarse as his bones began to break again, so much so that I wondered if he'd busted a vocal cord or two by the time Ivy stopped a few minutes later. "Still not gonna say anything?" Ivy asked once his bones had healed back to normal and he had stopped screaming.

The Bone Crown fragments grew almost too hot to hold. The Guardian stared in disbelief. "The old trial..." Elian whispered the words as though speaking them too loudly might awaken something worse. "I thought it had been destroyed." "What trial?" Cassian asked. Before anyone answered, the nearest Warden finally moved. It stepped forward with surprising grace for something so massive. Its bronze armor was scarred by countless battles, and deep cracks ran across its chest where stone still clung to the metal beneath. When it stopped before Cassian, it planted the tip of its sword on the floor.

Note: This chapter would be written in a third-person POV/Author's POV, as Ivara is already unconscious, and I can't write from all three demons POV in one chapter. Author's POV. Barkow walked back to where Ivara lay and bent over, studying her with the expression of someone encountering a mildly baffling phenomenon. “Are humans always this fragile?” He tilted his head. “It was just a fall. This is a little pathetic, isn't it?” Zirdow shot him a look. “You sound like you were born yesterday,” he said flatly.
