As we came out of the forest I saw lighting, chattering, and laughing sounds echoing. Some children dashed towards us, their eager hands reaching out for the food we carried, which we handed to them with care. Some of the younger ones stumbled under the weight of the dead animals they attempted to carry, prompting a chuckle from me. Silly. Ajax and Ares took charge of the animals, disappearing into the crowd to deliver them to the awaiting women.
