I waved at the couple that had put their things close to ours—yes, the ones that had disrupted our kiss—but they were a beautiful aged couple, so I would not hold it against them.
“Hello.” His wife, I hope so, greeted us cheerfully, and they came towards us. “It’s our forty-fifth anniversary,” she said proudly, beaming at her husband. “We decided to come back to where it all began.”
“Awww,” I cooed. That was so cute. “I am Anna, and this is my husband Davy. It is so nice to meet you.”
“Same here. I am Melissa, and this is Stephen.” We shook their hands, and they handed us a bottle of wine they had brought to share.
