How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

How to Avoid Death on a Daily Basis

I felt it was a bit of an inappropriate time to hold the inaugural meeting of their newly formed support group, but Mandy was obviously having trouble coming to terms with the whole situation. She lifted up her head. “Was the story about the underground stream true? At all?” “Well, yes and no,” said Raviva. “It would have led you into another cave, but there are no mines. You would have found yourselves in our labyrinth. A wonderful place full of traps and secrets.” His eyes lit up as he spoke about the labyrinth, and I mean they glowed red like lava. “Had you managed to navigate it, you could have won your freedom and, of course, our admiration.”

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

Midnight Phantom

Midnight Phantom

It’s a medieval torture where there is one way in and no way out. Is he going to throw me in that fucking hole to death? He turned around briefly and gave me a crooked grin immediately sent chills down my spine. “We’re going to have pictorials, but with a twist.” My dream that’s what I was thinking of as we traverse the never-ending labyrinth of corridors. My feet constantly tripped with my own ankles, and if not for these two giants of a man hauling me by, I could have ended up crawling into the floor.

Moonlit Shadows

Moonlit Shadows

Fuck. Something runs past me hiding in the shadows of the woods. I stop in my tracks, scared of death. I can almost hear my heartbeat. My blood is raging in my veins. "Show yourself," I yell angrily. I hear a low growl and see strange eyes focused on me for a second. I scream and fall to the ground. "Alice! Alice! Alice!" The voices have gotten closer. Something is definitely following me in the woods. I stand to my feet hurriedly. My cloth and shoes have mud stains on them. "Fuck," I grunt. The midnight bell rings from afar in the village. What a hell of a way to start my eighteenth-year birthday. I hear the growling clearly as it draws closer to me. My hands are shaking as I grab the dagge

Fated In Darkness

Fated In Darkness

He could laugh all he wanted, but we both knew the truth: tomorrow, there was a very real chance neither of us would see another sunrise. The journey stretched on, the tunnel winding, endless. My mind turned over what awaited us: Dragomir’s presence like a stormcloud, Adrian’s fury barely leashed, the fragile alliance we’d built. We were Strigoi, we weren’t supposed to unite like this. Yet here we were, chasing relics to put one of our own back to sleep. By the time the air shifted and the tunnel opened up into a wider chamber, the faint gray of morning had deepened into the full pallor of dawn aboveground. Six o’clock.

Under Her Spell: Saving The Alpha

Under Her Spell: Saving The Alpha

The air felt cold, too cold. There were so many dark corners. “It’s… like a maze,” I murmured, still trying to figure out where the hell we were. “I don’t think this is a maze, Nicholai. I think we are in the Labyrinth.” “What?” “Yeah,” she said, scanning the entire place. “The Labyrinth of Madness. It’s… a prison for lost souls. It feeds on fear, confusion… desire and despair.” A cold shiver ran through me. “Lost souls?” I asked, confused. “Wait—you mean we’re in a place for already dead people?”

The cheated Luna returns.

The cheated Luna returns.

We were both anxious to see Tate and to speak to my father about the people in the photograph that Grace had found in Meghan's room. Jackson still looked a little worse for wear: the wound on the back of his skull had closed, but was still swollen and had an ugly blue-purple tinge to it. His face was pale and his eyes had a sunken look about them. "Anything?" My voice was hoarse, heavy, and tired. Jackson lowered his gaze to his feet, shaking his head. "No, Alpha. Unfortunately, we lost Alexis's scent through the river. She must have crossed over into the next territory."

BETROTHED TO THE ALPHA MAFIA KING

BETROTHED TO THE ALPHA MAFIA KING

"The Labyrinth is a realm where reality intertwines with perception. To navigate its corridors, one must confront their own essence." He bestowed upon us a crystalline pendant. "This Lumina Stone will illuminate your path, but beware—the Labyrinth reveals as much as it conceals." --- Damian's Perspective Armed with the Lumina Stone, Elara and I ventured into the Labyrinth of Echoes. The entrance shimmered with an ethereal glow, and as we crossed the threshold, the world around us shifted. The Labyrinth's passages were ever-changing, reflecting fragments of our memories, desires, and fears. At times, we were separated, each confronting personal visions that tested our resolve.

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

The laboratory of the Chronos Initiative didn't look like a cathedral of science; it looked like a meat locker. It was all brushed steel, humming coolant lines, and an oppressive, sterile chill that bit through my jumpsuit. In the center of the room sat the "Ouroboros"—the machine that would finally strip the mystery from history. I sat inside the padded containment pod, my heart hammering against my ribs. Through the reinforced curved glass, I could see Dr. Aris Thorne and his team. They were blurred figures in white lab coats, moving like ghosts in the sterile light.

The Butcher's Bride

The Butcher's Bride

I grabbed my falchion and turned to the cave entrance. ‎ ‎The sky was beginning to lighten in the east. Dawn was coming. And with it, Vargo's airstrike. ‎ ‎"We have an hour to get to the laundry tunnels," I addressed the pack. "Move out. We aren't just crashing a wedding." ‎ ‎I looked at the distant lights of the Bloodmoon estate. ‎ ‎"We're taking back the crown."
