His arms wrapped around me, and for just a moment, everything was okay. Through the windows, I could see the sky beginning to lighten. Not sunrise, Dracula's domain didn't have real sunrises. But a shift in the darkness that meant morning was coming. Today we would leave the castle. Today we would face The Abattoir, The Whispering Void, and The Memory Thief's Garden. Today we would begin the final push toward the Core. Today everything might change.

When Thee and Tho stepped out, it didn't seem to affect them. Maybe it was because they are walking corpses now. They were more interested in what it looked like instead of what it smelled like, though I guess it's not everyday you see a maze made of literal corpses. The Nightmare Master built an underground maze and stuck me down here. Then every time my experiment failed, he forced me to line the walls, floors, and roof with the rotting corpses of those failed experiments. As soon as I stepped out the door, there were three paths I could follow: straight, left, or right. I've walked down all three of them, but had no luck in finding an exit.
