/Meelah’s POV/ “Have you still not gotten to the elevator?” Eden asks impatiently. “I just got to the elevator and I am ready to spill the tea so grab your popcorn and juice while I deliver the highlights of this gist to you,” I inform. “Can you get this started already,” she grumbled. “Hi bestie, my name is Meelah Kings and today I will be bringing you exclusive highlights from the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kings,” I mimic the way Eloise addresses her followers and Eden hides loudly.

I turn in King’s arms, so that my cheek is pressed against his shirt, but my tear-streaked face is looking at Ansel. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say ‘and/or’ in real life before. You’re a weird nerd, Ansel.” It takes a moment for my words to sink in, but when they do, King snorts out a laugh, and Ansel’s lip quirk up in amusement. “If you tell me that’s all you got out of everything I said, I’ll pinch you so hard your skin will come off.” I stick my tongue out at him as King laughs.

“But I am damn happy to see your ugly face.” “I’ll remind you that you said that the next time you give me grief.” King’s tone was light, but his face was pure rage. “So I guess I’m your white knight and savior, huh?” “Bah, dream on,” Mac huffed. “I had it all under control, Kingston.” “Yeah, it sure looked that way from where I was standing,” King said dryly.

Kays touches his nose. “Not even close!” I roar. “And what will your king say about this? Maybe the reason he hasn’t chosen a wife in all these years is because you’ve sampled them all first! So much for loyalty to your monarch! You even called yourself his friend, you lowlife! I don’t give a damn about your king, but hypocrites pretending to be someone’s friend—I despise them!”

Everyone could call him their king, but I would rather gouge my eyes out than live another day and call him my king. I would not do that. Never. “I have made up my mind, Alden. I know you will try to convince me to stay, but the king is stubborn. He’s selfish and he only thinks of his likes and dislikes. He doesn’t care about anyone but himself,” I stated confidently.

Luna asks next to me, waking up from her nap. "My family, they're all excited to meet you," I reply with a proud smile as her eyes sparkle with excitement, "You have to be extra nice, okay? You're already beating Kingsley on the likeable rankings. I want us to stay on first place.” "What, why don't they like King?" she gasps, in shock as if she can't believe it, "If they don't like him, I don't stand a chance either." "They absolutely love him, he's a part of the family, but he’s an annoying little diva," I roll my eyes with a laugh, "You're a sweetheart. We're going to win in the competition, okay?"
