' The woman let out another scream and then fainted while my hands shot out and hovered above the wound. Hot lava flowed from my heart to my hands and then something akin to a blue spotlight burst from my palms. I stared at my hands as though they weren't mine when a deep voice next to me whispered, 'It's alright.' I turned to those magnificent blue eyes and the werewolf gave me an encouraging nod, and we both stared at my hands as the blue light hastened the sealing of the wound. The burning in my chest rushed to my head, scalding my brain, giving me a stinging migraine, as though chastising me to let go.

And that thought automatically made me stare at his hands. Only now did I notice that the Lycan’s fur was not grey in its truest sense. It had a silver hue to it. He towered over my little werewolf body and his broad massive hands gently plucked me up from the ground as if I was a toy a toddler had left on the floor. Those hands were surprisingly gentle as he took a long whiff and held me close. My lungs ached and I was not even sure when I transformed into my human self.
