The assassins froze and staggered back. Fear crawled up their spines like icy fingers as the massive white wolf glared at them, eyes burning like fire. Her deep, thunderous growl echoed through the forest, rattling the trees.
They had been told the girl was nothing—just a regular human, no wolf, no Lycan. Mira had assured them she was harmless. But what they were seeing now shattered that lie.
