The male stood like it was absolutely nothing and he shifted with a terrible scream before he came at her again. “Duck!” Riordan yelled and an axe twacked into the forehead of the beast that nearly got her. Werewolves? Something about the way they moved unnerved her, not like the usual werewolves she fought before in the least. Was the mask a part of them? The damn thing had melded to accommodate their new features, with terrible looking spikes for teeth that would grind bones into dust. “Get a grip.
