They don’t have the same organization and defenses as you do here. But this was something more. There was a scent in the air. Of blood and death. I snuck in close to the heart of the village and what I saw made me want to die. There were hundreds of aswang, each of them violently feeding on a wolf. Some were four or five to one lifeless wolf. There were bodies everywhere, wrenched open, hearts missing. Females, males and…Even pups.” She shuddered at the memory, tears welling in her eyes. Kali an

Everything moved in slow motion as Xenia tried to focus on the scene before her. One moment she felt pure ecstasy; the next, a giant ass werewolf crashed through her window, lunging straight toward Cristobal. Her first thought was Illipio since he didn't like Cristobal much, but this werewolf was too big, and the fur was pure black with a white patch and red eyes. Those eyes, she thought. They look familiar. She watched as Cristobal quickly evaded the werewolf and rolled out of the way into the hall.

all gave me ferocious growls. All had the same goal in mind: death. I stared at the largest of the wolves and found myself grinning as it rolled on the ground in obvious pain. As soon as the other wolf howled, they all started attacking me. I effortlessly threw him away with my mind after he lunged at me. Humans preferred the safety of their own assumptions rather than face the harsh reality of werewolves living amongst them. It was probably better that way for everyone.

I was surprised to see that it was tastefully furnished, not what I would expect from the mad Alpha King that everyone rumored about. But then, I think I was already finding out that the Diego Leo Santos that the entire werewolf territory whispered about, was at least slightly different from the real one.
