She told him but just that night, as if warning her that things wouldn't be alright the raven came back and sat on the tree outside her window. I remember begging him for a story when he came in to tuck me in almost every night. The book was filled with lots of short stories, all of them about werewolves. I flipped to my favorite one, Little Red Riding Hood. It was about a young she-wolf who was taking her grandmother some food goods. Her grandmother lived in the forest oddly enough, instead of a pack where the little girl lived. When she got to her grandmother’s house and knocked on the door, a male-wolf answered the door. As soon as their eyes met, her wolf recognized him as her mate. It turned out that her grandmother had gotten hurt while out and the wolf had found her in distress, carried her home, and tended to her wound

He told her. “Downworlder hunter.” She corrected him. “I’m not just a vampire hunter, I also hunt werewolves but sure, I’ll just change clothes.” Cassadie agreed as she decided to wear her yesterday’s clothes. “Should I buy you new clothes?” Yomiel asked as he went on wearing his usual suit. “Nah, no need. We can wear this for a week.” Cassadie told him. “Eh, what about the underwear?” He wondered as he tilted his head as he looked at her.

These are what were sprung, and flickering through, her mind. These were the same story's that all of the young harpy, or just about, within the Raven Clan would hear before being tucked in to sleep. Her and her sister were not special to have heard them… but to potentially have, truly and accidentally picked up a werewolf from the forest… it was something unthinkable. No one had seen one in perhaps a hundred years, or so everyone believed… did that make the stories about the creatures called, "the dark ones," true as well?
