Maybe I was imagining it, but the library suddenly felt at least ten degrees warmer. I focused my attention back on the books in front of me, now that Cole had added a few. I could feel his gaze still on me, but I tried to ignore it as best as possible. Then I turned a page and the book really did grab my entire attention. On the pages I found a record of all the packs of the werewolves, not just the Grandmoon Pack. I turned the page, hoping to find some record of the Western Pack. I let out a nervous chuckle, clearing my throat. “Well… something like that. We were hoping you might help us answer some questions about werewolves,” I replied. Professor Kira’s eyebrows shot up, a spark of intrigue glinting in her eyes. “Werewolves, you say? How interesting.” I glanced over at Lyra, signaling that it was her turn. She leaned forward. “I’ve read your book ‘The Creatures beyond us’, and I have to say, you’re a phenomenal writer. I thoroughly enjoyed it,” she complimented, her voice brimming with admiration.

As we walked, the soft thud of our footsteps echoed through the solemn space. Jeremiah, a wise and weathered wolf with a graying muzzle, carried an ancient book in his hands. Its leather cover was worn, its pages yellowed with age. We reached a magnificent wooden table, carved with the same designs, and Jeremiah gently placed the book upon it. "Lyra," he began, his voice deep and resonant, "this book holds the secrets of our pack's legacy, and within its pages lies the tale of the Silver Werewolf." My curiosity piqued, I leaned in closer, my eyes fixed on the book. "Tell me, Jeremiah," I said, my voice filled with anticipation. "What is the story of the Silver Werewolf?"

I struggled to say while my hands pointed to the window where I saw the vacancy flyer while I was getting into the cafe. "You want to work here?" She asked me, and I nodded. "Hmmm... I have never seen a human who is willing to work where she will be surrounded by werewolves. Aren't you afraid of your life?" I gulped. Of course, I was afraid for my life. And that was exactly why I needed to work where I would be able to interact with werewolves all day. It would help give me some confidence. Besides, it was not like I was afraid of them because I was a human and they were werewolves. As a girl who came from the lines of hunters, I had seen more weird creatures than werewolves.
