More often than not, wolves tended to lose against vampires. They had the strength, speed, and ability to take them on, but without the knowledge, it was mostly luck. Vampires were cunning creatures and could outmaneuver a wolf, due to their size differences. Stryker had already mentioned that they struggled against vampires, which meant they didn’t know how to fight against them in the same way that I did.
