I stare at it intently, dread filling my body as I consider what lies behind it. After several minutes of deliberation and my hand hovering over the handle I open it. The room is pitch black. Adeline’s grip on me loosened and she collapsed against the seat. I turned to see her body, lying limp, soaked in blood. Her eyes were wide, staring at me with a mix of shock and… betrayal? However, I soon realised that she wasn’t staring at me, she was staring at the person behind me, the shooter. I turned to see Rade. His eyes sparkled and he opened the car door, helping me out.
