What Happened To Derek In Save The Last Dance 2 Novels & Stories

The music ended at that momebt and Talia pulled away immediately, bowing before walking in the opposite direction. But Derek stepped right in front of her. "My turn!" Talia stared at him, blinking twice. "Are you insane?" Derek laughed. "Come on. One dance." "Boys don't dance with each other, Derek." Talia pointed out firmly. "Says who?" Derek reached for her hand. Talia pulled back, frowning. "Says everyone. It's weird." But Derek was looking at her differently now. His eyes were too focused, like he was seeing something he hadn't seen before.

I pieced together their love story from bits and pieces of information from people around me, how much they loved each other and how inseparable they were, but he never mentioned it to me, not even once. Dance music suddenly started to play and everyone took to the dance floor. My stomach twisted and tears pricked my eyes as Derek and Anna danced, the whole guests smiling and cheering them on. Suddenly, Anna twisted her ankle and fell. Derek hugged her and carried her out of the hall. Murmurs rose in the air, mingled with the clinking of champagne glasses and mocking laughter. I felt exposed, like a spotlight had been shone on me. I stood and watched Derek leave with Anna without turning his

Derek said. “Oh! They booked the VIP section” the manager said and kept checking the cameras until Derek saw her dancing. She looked totally wasted. “Shit!” He cursed “Have you seen her?” The manager asked “Yes man. Thank you” he said and walked out to the VIP section. Brianna and Riley were busy dancing their lives away and talking endlessly through the loud music. As he was about walking towards her, a guy walked up to the girls and asked to dance with Brianna.

The flashing light from the fallen lamp illuminates his eyes, making him appear all the more dangerous. My nipples harden beneath my shirt, immediately gaining the attention of Derrick. His hands clench together at his sides. His wolf is close to taking control and the knowledge only excites me more. “I have not done anything with Daphne since my drunken mistake when I thought she was you.” Derrick’s growled out confession takes me by surprise. He only slepth with Daphne because he was drunk? And he thought she was me?

“Oh, nice to see you, Alpha Leonard. How’s the campaign going?” “I don’t discuss personal matters with strangers. Step away from my wife.” “Your wife’s a good friend of mine. I’d like one dance for old times’ sake. If you don’t mind.” “I mind. My Luna’s unwell. If anyone dances with her tonight, it’s me.” Derek held my gaze a beat too long, then smirked. “Understood. But fair warning… you might want to pay a little more attention before someone else notices exactly what you’ve got.”

she said, leaning back, “I heard the story from a friend of mine…the delivery girl, tripping… bla bla…” I peeked at her. “Are you done?” “Not even close.” I dropped my hands. “Please don’t tell me you’re enjoying this.” “Very much.” I shook my head and went back to my sandwich. “Anyway,” Maya continued, “Derek’s ex is Vanessa Blake.” “Oh?” “Yeah. Cheer captain. Beautiful. Slightly terrifying.” “Sounds lovely.” “They broke up months ago,” she said. “She’s been trying to get back together with him.”

Dizziness swept over me, and a sharp pain shot through my abdomen as I staggered and collapsed to the floor. Everyone gasped. Helena smirked. “Looks like Mr. Lewis was right—you do enjoy a bit of drama, Mrs. Lewis. Just one glass, and here you are, acting drunk!” Casey had initially reached out to steady me but froze when he heard Helena’s remark. “She’s right! No one gets drunk off one glass. Are you pulling another stunt, Kelly?!” Then someone suddenly cried out, “There’s blood… She’s bleeding…!”

Just like countless times before, like a proper mate seeing off her mate. I said: "Be careful on the road." He said: "I will." I watched him disappear into the night, the music still flowing from the speakers. I picked it up and smashed it to the ground. After the loud crash, the living room lost all sound. I turned and went back to our bedroom. Derek wouldn't come back tonight. I knew it. Sarah had won the bet. But I hadn't lost either.

He said before holding my hand and put it above his shoulders, then he guided me towards the center, and we slowly danced together with the soft music. And while dancing, I realized who he was. He was that jerk who asked if I need company earlier. The one I ignored. And with a heavy heart because of the scene I just witnessed, I can't believe that I found myself dancing with a jerk.

Derek hesitated before answering: "Viv drank too much celebrating for me tonight. She'll feel awful tomorrow, and I need to take care of her. I won't make it to the mating ceremony. Let's just forget about it." My heart turned cold, but I nodded gently. "Okay." After a pause, I pulled out the mate bond dissolution papers from my bag and handed them to Derek. "Sign these documents, please." Perhaps out of guilt, Derek took the pen without even looking at the papers and signed them. Then he looked at me, his voice soft as he promised: "I'll bring home your favorite venison tomorrow." With that, he drove away. ... When Derek returned home, it was already noon the next day.
