What Happened To Derek In Save The Last Dance 2 Novels & Stories

Not today girl, I wasn’t going to look like a clash today. By the time we stepped out of the room, Elara’s arm was looped through mine, her chatter filling the hallway. I let her drag me along, the picture of two friends about to spend a carefree afternoon. My stomach, however, remained tight with the weight of what I knew and I was conscious of everything that was going on. The door creaked open, sunlight spilling across the large pack house windows and there, in an awkward looking trouser, stood Derek. You see, Derek had always had plans of becoming a model, he and his twin sister Daniella, but they hadn’t gotten any gigs yet.

Derek's POV I was pressed against some guy in a dark corner of the balcony, the taste of cheap vodka and smoke sliding down my throat. It was supposed to be a distraction. I was supposed to be enjoying the fact that I was the king of this pathetic hill. But then someone grabbed my shoulder. Hard. "Derek! Man, stop your brother, the ginger kid... I think he’s drowning." The world stopped. The music, the heavy bass, the heat of the guy in front of me, it all turned to ice. I didn't even think. I shoved the guy away so hard he hit the railing, and I lunged toward the pool area.

Joanne started to understand Nick's question. "I'm not 100% sure. If it is true....then that may explain Derek's turnaround. He's dating Amanda." said Nick. He then took his phone out and texted in his MNS group chat. 'Emergency! MNS meeting! Spy update on Derek! Tonight!' texted Nick. As evening approached, Derek was dressed in a fancy maroon suit and black shoes. He stepped out of the Quinton Mansion and drove off in his new Rimac Nevera, heading towards Townsville Hillside condo.

“You couldn’t fix a hard-on with Viagra and a prayer. That robot gave me three orgasms before you ever managed one.” Derek’s jaw flexed. “Kids are in college. Imagine their faces—” “Imagine mine when I found your Tinder. Same embarrassment, Derek. Only difference? I’m finally getting laid right.” After everything I did for you—seven years, Derek. Seven. And you threw it away for some girl who says ‘OMG’ like it’s punctuation.” Derek stood slow, brushing dog hair off his jeans, that twisted smile creeping up like he was the hero. “I saw the video, Layla.

And I only have a minute left before my five-minute music ends. In the middle of our slow dance, while we exchanged a heart-to-heart conversation about getting married, the music stopped all of a sudden. A man, probably in his thirties, wearing an expensive suit walked passed through us, smiled at me wholeheartedly, and snatched the microphone from the host of the event. "Ten million dollars in cash to save the last dance for Yvanna Summer." His unexpected announcements caused everyone's eyes and jaws to drop to the ground, including mine and Justine's.

Belle's POV Beyond surprised at Christian's action, I squatted to make sure the other guy was okay before standing to look at my husband. The guests present were not slow to take out their phones to record again as always. Why did we always manage to bring up drama at every party? I wondered silently. "What the hell?" I whispered to him, completely ashamed that he would ruin his birthday celebration just because of a guy who was only asking to dance with me and whom I was refusing already. A guy that I didn't find attractive at all.

Abby's POV Derek saved me at the mask ball from watching Hayden dance with a woman, maybe another of his girlfriends. I don’t know. But seeing them broke my heart in a way I still can’t lay my fingers on. Derek didn’t say anything. He probably noticed my distress. He just guided me gently into a dance, and suddenly, memories we once shared started flooding back, one after another. I felt deeply conflicted, unsure of myself in a way I never had before. The way I feel about Derek, my longtime crush who makes life feel simpler… and then Hayden, the ruthless and emotionless Alpha.

Derek was surrounded by some men but once they saw me coming, they all immediately began to leave. "How long were you planning on neglecting me this night?" I asked, sitting beside him. "For as long as I didn't have to hurt you," he took a sip from his drink and I frowned, confused. What the hell was he talking about?. "What do you mean?" I asked him but there was no response. A song slowly began to play and everyone paired up, picking their partners for the dance "Would you like to dance with me, Imelda?" He stood up, stretching his hands out to me and I smiled, taking it.

Voices in his head began to make strident noises. Derek pauses and smiles.... "why are you grinning?" Clarke raised a question. " and I am aware you have a wife" These words were so sudden for Clarke to grasp. So he withdrew his hands from derek 's shoulders and he moved back immediately. "Where are you going?" derek yelled. "I am so sorry this was a mistake, I don't even know what I was thinking." he replied as tears packed in his eyes. He felt so embarrassed, all eyes were on the dramatic couples that we're once dancing and admired by other boring couples.

Derek laughed and shook my hand. "Nice to meet you. What you say we move this conversation out onto the dance floor." I nodded, and the bartender handed me another martini. I slammed it back before standing. The alcohol left a warm trail down my throat as it pooled in my stomach. I felt a little dizzy before I caught my barrings, but Derek's hand wrapped around mine supporting me as he pulled me into the swarm of people.
