They can’t stand the light. Unless they are, you know… the sparkly type. Then in that case I might get blinded as I run away.

I contemplated running away before any bad happens to me but what good would that do me? This time I would definitely be eaten by it cause Damon is nowhere in sight to come to my aid. Maybe it wasn't even a shapeshifter. Because I doubt they would attack me out in public like this. Damon did tell me that the supernatural world rather be kept hidden from human knowledge.

She was so ridiculous to think she could escape this untouched. If I was going down, she had to go down with me. My dad's yelling intensified. "I need to know who the stupid vampire is and give him and his parents a stern warning to stay the hell away from you!" Hysterical tears flooded down my face, and I wiped them with the back of my hand. My mum paced around the room, angry and ashamed. "This is so awful. I hope you didn't let him kiss you.
