The Girl Who Never Left

The Girl Who Never Left

I made sure they knew Bennett and I were no longer an item. Those crafty devils wasted no time hounding Bennett and Rosie for every penny. Buried in debt, they were stuck in a cycle of endless borrowing. They even sold Bennett's family home, yet it was still not enough. They vanished to some other city. Me? I got fed up with Wade's relentless pursuit and decided to take a chance on myself. On our wedding day, Wade laid all his cards on the table. He even purged his phone of all female contacts—a clean slate for our new beginning.

Alpha Prince’s Mute Mate

Alpha Prince’s Mute Mate

She had summoned the leader of the rogues multiple times, desperate for his assistance, but he had abandoned her. He had carried his pack of rogues and left, leaving her isolated and vulnerable. The realization that she no longer had his support gnawed at her, driving her closer to the edge of madness. "He fucking left," Leah muttered through gritted teeth, her voice trembling with barely contained rage. "How dare he turn his back on me? After everything I’ve done for him!" She strode to the window, glaring out at the palace grounds below. The sight of the bustling activity did nothing to soothe her; instead, it heightened her sense of isolation.

The Lycan Brothers' Willing Toy

The Lycan Brothers' Willing Toy

She patted my hair, smiling. “What's it?” “It's time to go.” Just two words, and it seemed like I had lost everything once more. “What?!!” “I have expended the fragment I have. Here.” She opened her bag and got out a thick book and a necklace with a jar-like pendant. “This will hold my spirit when I leave,” she said, gesturing to the jar. “It will capture my last essence, so you can always have me with you. And this.” She pointed at the book. “That's my journal. It holds all the answers to questions you might have.”

Two Nights Stand

Two Nights Stand

My stuff were all their. That's when it had hit me, I was the only anomaly in her perfect life. And she left me behind. She took everyone and left the stray hair behind. After finding out from a neighbor that they had loaded stuff into a lorry and left. I picked all the snacks and burger I had bought them and headed to the back of the garden feeling like dying. Every breath I took in and out made me feel even more useless and stupid. Why would she leave men behind. Was it worth it.

A Widow’s Child, A Wife’s Goodbye

Unhurried. Daniel stood frozen, watching her disappear into the canvas shadows. He called her name once more. She didn’t look back. The wind rose, carrying dust between them. Fated to my 4 bully Stepbrothers

Fated to my 4 bully Stepbrothers

The stronghold wouldn't let her. The same thing it had done to me. The same ultimatum. Sacrifice the badge to leave. She stood in the doorway and looked back at it and I watched her face go through every single thing, the fear and the anger and the grief, and then she made her choice. She left the badge. She walked out without it. And right before the memory cut out I saw her crying, shoulders shaking, one hand still on her stomach, alone in the corridor of this awful place. She gave it up so she could get out and she never came back for it and she never told me and she'd been carrying that the whole time.

The CEO’s Obsession: Layla, You’re Not Allowed to Die

The plane had already begun taxiing, and soon, they would take off—leaving this city behind. Finally. A quiet sense of relief washed over her. The updates have gone from 6 chapters a day down to 2 a day. Now today there was on,y 1 chapter. I hope this book is not about to be abandoned before it’s completed. I’ve seen this happen to other stories on this app. Can we please get the updates back to 6 chapters daily?

The way the plot thickens at each turn. I’m really excited to continue reading. Layla is a strong character and I liked her character development. Hoping that the author continues the novel and publishes a few chapters at a time.

The Pieces She Left Behind

The Pieces She Left Behind

She wouldn't have Nathan and Biscuit and Rosa's tamales and Margins and the barrel by the market that functioned as a table. She wouldn't have the manuscript. She wouldn't have Caleb. She looked at the building one more time. Thank you, she thought. Not to Daniel, not to Sienna — to the fault line itself. To the night that had broken things open. To the specific mercy of catastrophes that turned out to be the path. She turned. Walked back toward the subway. She texted Caleb from the platform. I went back to 74th Street. She watched the dots appear immediately.
