"Let's read these first— wait, they're demons, what powers do they have." I said then I opened the book and read the contents. I was amazed at what I read and another one I couldn't believe... When suddenly there were books falling on my head, I suddenly stood up because it hurt!

I was done and he pulled me in and kissed me again. It was just as wonderful as the previous ones. Then he pulled away again. "I have some work I need to do." He left and I was alone in my room, as pink as a peach and just as happy. I turned to my bed and looked at the book. I had nothing left to do. I flopped on my bed and picked up the book. I could suddenly hear it whispering to me. That was strange indeed. The whispers were low and eerie. I opened the book but it was written clearly in english. What was going on? How come I could read it? I looked at the first words on the first page. "Lunar Golden Jade..."

Maybe the writer had in mind to deviate the readers’ thoughts about the book at first glance. I lazily stretched my hand to pick the book, finally recalling, when I opened the first page, that it was literally the book I had been searching for. How did I not realize it was actually the last book I have read so far? I flipped through the pages, searching the actual chapter I read about poisons that I had once regarded as unreal.

Never have I been this jumpy. I drank the lukewarm latte again. The feed popped up and I clicked the first tab that opened. A cartoon caricature of the Devil appeared above the short article. I didn't find it very amusing as I tucked my hair behind my ears, then took a seat on my high stool and read. It contained mostly nonsense quotes and references but I was quick to highlight the points and I read with slow horror. I had just gotten why this book was so important and it wasn't good.

I was speechless. 'Ah, I forgot about that.' The book I was reading was called 《The Male Lead's Lover》. It was a story filled with crappy cliché, and I also don’t know what I ate to read that kind of book. Maybe I was momentarily out of my mind and bought that book in the bookstore, or maybe I was asleep as I picked that book on the shelf.
