What The Hell Did I Just Read Book Novels & Stories

“FUCK!” I picked up the smaller bookcase that was at the head of my mattress and threw it across the room. The books scattered and the shoddy work of the shelf made the lid come off. It wasn’t enough. I felt like I needed to destroy everything. Everything was wrong. This was all wrong. How the hell was I supposed to fix this?

I entered mine, went through the three books I had gotten from the store, and set them down on the bed. I folded my arms and read their names. The Claiming Rites, Finding the One, and Under the Red Moon. There was no order in which anyone should read these books, so I sat down and picked up The Claiming Rites. After an hour, I finished reading. The book made zero sense, and then I picked up Finding the One and spent another hour reading through it. While the first book was incomplete, the second made a little more sense. I picked up the third, which I had gone to Zion’s room with. I took my time reading, and another hour went by.

What was happening tomorrow and why didn't he say anything else? I exhaled deeply and threw the phone across the bed like it offended me. Slowly, I grabbed the book next to my bed. Make Me Yours Tonight. I used to love it and I have already read it three times. But when I opened the book and tried to read the first page, the words just hung there blank. They did not engage me as they usually did. I closed the book. My phone rang again. I grabbed it quickly, my heart skipping a beat and for a while, I hoped that it was him.

Novel's POV After returning home, the book seemed to pulse on my desk, demanding to be opened. Earlier, I’d told that woman I had a boyfriend, but the truth stung, Alexei hadn’t even asked me out yet. How pathetic of me. “The Book of Outer Land,” I whispered, sliding on my reading glasses. As I opened the cover, a cloud of ancient dust drifted upward, smelling of cedar and forgotten places. “Ouch, cough! Seriously?” I sputtered, waving the dust away. My eyes landed on the dedication page.

On arriving at the library, Khalid made his way to his part of the library since I never liked to be disturbed. “Sit around and read a book.” Khalid said to Mira like he was the one that ordered her here. Mira shyly took a book from the shelf, and slowly headed over to a corner of the room where anyone would barely see her, and she started reading. I took my mind off her, grabbing the book I had been reading for a week, and I went in to my safe spot. “Fuck!” I snapped after reading the same line over and over again, unable to comprehend what I was reading. Something was clouding my mind, and it was doing a very good job at it.

I should be so professional that he can't even find any faults. I lifted the heavy book using both of my hands and placed it in front of me as it created a huge sound. I sensed Gabriel turned to me, but I didn't care. If something breaks because of these books, then it is on him. He fucking forced me. I opened the book and started to read, trying my best to understand everything that I read. It is about clothing and fashion. It is not that complicated, but it is hard.... maybe because I don't know anything about clothing and fashion.

What the hell? I read that entire section of the book, and I couldn’t believe what I’d found. I didn’t believe it at first and thought that maybe I’d actually read it wrong. After reading it two more times, it still said the same thing. I shut the book and took it with me as I made my way back to my Dad’s study. I opened it to the section I’d read and dropped it on his desk. “Explain this to me.” He glanced down at the book before looking up at me. “Have you come across the other part yet?”

“What the fuck is this doing with you?” His voice wasn’t his usual bored, controlled tone. It was sharp, raw, almost shaken. I ripped it back. “Jesus, Elijah, what the hell?” “You’re not supposed to have this.” His voice was quiet now, but deadly. “It’s a book. It's just a fucking book.” I was stunned by Elijah's sudden outburst. Over a book. “No.” His jaw flexed. “It’s not.” I knew it wasn't, but still I was going to read it..

I just realized Oh my God, this is my room! I took my hand over my mouth with a shocked expression on my face. Two Hours Later... “Done, I love that book. I can read a thousand times and not get tired of it.” I said no partially. Okay, Avery, I started reading a book called Fear Me” Oh, boy I can feel my insides tingle when I open the book. Three More Hours Later...

I know there is still a great chance for us to be together. I was a little bit confused by what I read. I took both books and walked out of her room gently. What does she mean by those words I just read, or does she have a lover outside and even kids. I walked back to my room and sat on my bed. I hid the novel under my pillow and opened the second book. I began to read slowly, a migraine settled in as I read. I fought the urge to slam the book shut, I continued reading. And It felt like my eyes were being opened to deeper things. My mind flashed back to the day of the accident, I saw myself trying to convince someone to stay. Every of my memories began to flash through my mind, I dropped the
