The surge of their energy pounding through me. An overwhelming feeling.

I ask, my voice holding no emotions which is contradicting the way I am currently feeling. You know the kind of feeling you get when you know you have been betrayed? The feeling when your stomach is in pains and you feel tremors in your legs. When your heart palpitates and your throat begins to close up. When the entire world seems to have slowed down and you just want to curl up in a corner and cry. That is how l feel. Just about a thousand times much worse than that. But I have a lot more to listen to. There is more to hear. And there is also more to grieve over.

I smiled at the memory of the moment it happened. All of a sudden, there was a sudden surge of emotions, but they were not my own. Confusion swept over me. Although I didn't know where the feelings came from, I felt cared for and loved. I tried to ignore the strange sensation, but it lingered, and I couldn't shake it off. Despite not being able to explain it, I felt a deep connection to something or someone. There was a deep sense of peace and contentment in me that I hadn't experienced for quite some time.

REBECCA "Well, I would describe jealousy as a wave. It crashes into your heart with a mix of emotions. Anger and sadness. Most of the time, it's not a pleasant feeling, but it hurts. Right here," she said, placing her hand over her heart. "It hurts. Your chest tightens, and it feels like you can't breathe. Sometimes you might feel like crying or becoming so furious that you want to resort to violence, like punching someone in the face. I can't exactly put it into words, but it's quite overwhelming."

************* Natalie's POV Do you know that feeling? That excitement that feels so good yet so bad as it eats at your stomach. You know what I am talking about, right? That giddy emotion you get after a date with someone you like so much. Those butterflies dancing in your stomach as he drives you home. You're both happy and sad, happy that it happened, sad that it's about to end. You got what feeling I am talking about, right? Yeah, I shouldn't be having that feeling.

Not a moment later, I feel my entire body become rigid. An intense, overwhelming wave of energy comes over me almost knocking me off my feet, and it takes all of me to remain standing. I can feel it approaching like a cold, dense fog skimming across the water and cloaking the land with a cloud of unease. I’d know that feeling anywhere. A feeling I should loathe and shiver at, but I don’t. It makes my body feel alive and my essram rejoice in ways I can’t begin to explain. It feels like a black hole sucking me into its depths, and never have I wanted something so much in my whole life. As disturbing as that thought should be, it brings me nothing but comfort.

I know that it's wrong. I'm putting my heart at stake but I can't stop myself either. My heart kept beating so fast and I can't understand why my stomach felt like it's twitching because of an unknown feeling inside me that I refuse to name not because I don't know what to call it but because I hate feeling it. It gives me an unexplainable pleasure and happy feeling which I know for a fact can turn into pain and sadness in just a swift. That's why I don't want it.

But I quickly regret it when I do. “Mykhol-” I feel my heart beating in my chest. Mykhol is staring so profoundly at me. I’m forgetting to breathe. Run. The thought jolts through my head. I need to run. Get away right now. But even as I think about it and feel my legs tighten as if ready, I can’t stir. I pull between fear and confusion. Something else is coming up. There is a new feeling. What is this feeling? I don’t understand. But I can feel it climb from my stomach to sit on my heart. It makes me not want to move.

POSEIDON POV Do you know that feeling? That little jittery spark that sizzles down your spine, then causes butterflies to dance around your tummy whenever the thought of that particular someone crosses your mind? That little shiver that leaves you wondering if they’re real or not... That is exactly what I was feeling. At least at that very moment.

It cuts through the rest in a way the others don’t. Soft. Low. Constant. It’s been there. Before this. During this. I don’t know how long. But it… calls to me. I try to follow it. That’s when something else hits. A feeling. Not physical. Not pain. Like something is missing. Or maybe something changed. I don’t know what. I don’t know how. But it’s there. Sitting under everything else. Uncomfortable. Unfamiliar. I hear the voice again.
