The alpha's forbidden desire

The alpha's forbidden desire

"Are you ready to leave this place forever?" Mile opened his mouth, then closed it again. The silence stretched, heavy and uncertain, his fingers curling against his own cheek as though he could hold himself together by sheer pressure alone. Before he could answer, his phone began to ring — a sharp, jarring sound that sliced through the quiet of the room. Mile flinched and looked down at the screen, his whole body going rigid at whatever name flashed across it. Later, once the call had ended and the room had settled back into its uneasy hush, Mile finally spoke again, though his voice was quieter now, almost disbelieving.

The Billionaire's Hot Nanny

The Billionaire's Hot Nanny

"I can’t fail them. Not again." "You won’t," I said, stepping toward him, my voice softer now. "But you need to act now. You’re not alone in this, Hollis. You’ve never been alone." His eyes softened, just for a moment. But the sound of his phone ringing broke the fragile silence between us. His hands were shaking as he reached for the phone, and I watched him as his face drained of color with each passing second. I saw the screen. Unknown Number. My heart skipped a beat.

Rise Of The Betrayed Omega

Rise Of The Betrayed Omega

I dial Riley's number and listen to it ring once, twice — From somewhere inside the apartment, muffled and close, a phone begins to ring. I lower mine slowly. We all look toward the sound. Riley's phone. Sitting face-down on the kitchen counter next to the fruit bowl, screen lighting up with my incoming call, completely and utterly here while she is not. I end the call. The silence that follows is a different quality than all the silences before it. "She left her phone," Shawn says. "She left her phone," I confirm, and my voice sounds like it's coming from somewhere very far away from my body.

The Luna He Didn’t Choose

The Luna He Didn’t Choose

A chill ran down my spine. Maya immediately slid her chair backward. “Nope.” I blinked. “What?” “I’ve seen enough movies.” She pointed toward the phone. “That’s how people die.” James looked exhausted. “That’s not how phones work.” “You don’t know that.” Nobody had the energy to argue. The phone kept ringing. Eventually James reached forward. “Put it on speaker.” My stomach dropped. “Are you serious?” “Very.” The ringing continued. The room waited. Then slowly, carefully, I answered.

Codename: Aconite

Codename: Aconite

I’m startled awake by the sound of a ringing phone. As my body jolts to life – much to my surprise – so does the body of Silas, who happens to be tangled beneath me. Our heads collide as he jolts up in response to the phone, and with a cry and a groan, we both clutch our heads. In a hurry to answer his phone, Silas doesn’t realise the position we’re in, and rolls over, knocking me to the ground with a thud.

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

Puck, Passion, and Broken Promises

The morning is perfect. Sunlight streaming through the windows like liquid gold. Noah laughing in the kitchen, his little voice carrying through the house like music. Ethan's ring warm on my finger, a constant reminder that this is real. That we made it. That we're finally here. That the nightmare is over. Then his phone rings. He answers. Listens. His face goes pale. The color drains so fast I think he might collapse. His hand tightens on the phone. His jaw goes slack.

THE BILLIONAIRE'S UNWANTED WIFE

THE BILLIONAIRE'S UNWANTED WIFE

ALEXANDER The living room felt unnaturally still, the only sound the soft clink of ice shifting in the glass in my hand. I leaned back in my chair, one leg crossed over the other, letting the night unfold as it always did. At least until my phone rang. I glanced at the screen before answering. For some reason, I already knew… this wouldn’t be good news. “Yes. What is it?” “Sir… I’m sorry, but we have a problem.”

Alpha’s Scumbag: Sorry My Luna

Alpha’s Scumbag: Sorry My Luna

He stepped forward, picked up an apple, and held it out to me. I hesitated, reaching out to take it. Suddenly, the sharp sound of my phone ringing shattered the moment. My gaze darted to where my phone laid. My heart dropped when I saw the name flashing on the screen: Damien. The phone kept ringing, each sound more grating than the last. I glanced at Kael, whose eyes had gone stone-cold as he strode over and snatched the phone before I could reach it. Without hesitation, he pressed the button and put it on speaker.

This is one of my favorites but somehow I got up to the children are grown and paid quite a bit money out over time to read the extra chapters and all a sudden I’m back to reading the beginning chapter again and can’t get back to where I was at so don’t want to start all over again

I Refuse to Divorce!

I Refuse to Divorce!

She didn’t respond to him at all. How was that possible? That was when his phone rang. Judging by the unique ringing tone, it was Gianna. He checked his phone for a second before hanging it up. For a second there, things were a little awkward in the ward.

It is a great story. Really long but worth your money. Building on one character at a go. The end was abit slow but once you grasp the writing style it gets prolific and you cannot stop until you reach the end. By then there is no more to say.
